Earlier this month, late-night host Stephen Colbert caused all kinds of outrage especially among the right when he delivered an anti-Trump monologue that included a joke about the presidents mouth being Vladimir Putins c*ckholster.
Well, following the Late Show broadcast, the FCC received more than five thousand complaints with concerns over indecency and hate speech, among other objections. Today, the agency let it be known that no action will be taken against the host or the program.
In a statement obtained by Variety, the FCC noted that there was the joke didnt break any rules:
Consistent with standard operating procedure, the FCCs Enforcement Bureau has reviewed the complaints and the material that was the subject of these complaints, the FCC statement said. The Bureau has concluded that there was nothing actionable under the FCCs rules.

This was a joke. Rightwingnuts have no sense of humor when it comes to their own, but they sure do find it funny when Obama is portrayed as an African witchdoctor, or Michelle is called a chimp in high heels (as she was called publicly).
Out of all the garbage that is shown & stated on late night tv, this joke doesn't come close to immorality for that hour of the evening. If htey're that prudish, they shouldn't be watching shows like that.
Doesn't the FCC control HBO and stations like that? They have shows that are practically porn! Maybe the FCC doesn't have control over HBO and Showtime, etc., though. Not sure.
