Trump 'determined to pursue peace' after Pope meeting

Source: BBC

US President Donald Trump has said he is "more determined than ever" to pursue peace in the world after meeting Pope Francis at the Vatican.

He was granted a short private audience with the head of the Catholic Church on the latest leg of his overseas trip.
The two men have in the past clashed on issues such as migration, climate change and a Mexico-US wall.
Mr Trump is now in Brussels for talks with Nato and EU officials.

He will also hold meetings with Belgium's King Philippe and Prime Minister Charles Michel.

After the meeting between President Trump and the Pope, the Vatican said there had been an "exchange of views" on international issues.
Mr Trump, who BBC Europe editor Katya Adler says seemed star-struck, said of the Pope: "He is something, he's really good. We had a fantastic meeting and we had a fantastic tour, it was really beautiful. We're liking Italy very much... it was an honour to be with the Pope."

A movie about the 100+ days of this presidency could never be made as a serious movie, no matter how hard the writers and directors tried, it would come out as a comedy.

by refusing to sign any kind of horrible Trumpcare the reThugs come up with for a start and then take back all the executive orders he's put out. ---So easy, but none of it will ever happen. His whole life is turmoil and he thinks that is what peace is.

Don't worry, I'm under no illusions about Mr T, but if the pope found a way of turning his present crisis into a teachable moment, it can't hurt. We're all a heart attack away from heaven so to speak and to quote another famous Italian (Marlon Brando playing Marc Antony) 'The evil that men do lives after them, the good is oft interred with their bones,' and Mr T would do well to reflect on how he'd like to be remembered.

p.s. the pope gave him his latest encyclical, on climate change

Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security; he was going to "drain the swamp;" and he was going to bring back manufacturing jobs. He said the electoral college should be abolished; and he has nothing to do with Putin or Russia, not even financial ties. His words mean nothing.

Like, how weak are his morals and principles that he has to change his entire worldview each and every time he meets a new dignitary or world leader? Is this some sort of old sales trick, or something along those lines? Because, it's one thing to have an open mind, but another to leave it so open your mind falls out.
