I am concerned that we have so many MSM news stories getting shoved at us....that it is difficult to determine what is truth. And I do enjoy the Discussion board, but I did not want to post this question here...because I only wanted a yes or no vote from the group on the authenticity of the article. And I really did not believe it was an editorial...because I don't have enough knowledge to editorialize. And I did not sense to post to video board because it was questionable.

I am knew to this board....but I have become addicted to DU because I feel I get the truth which I do not from MSM. I have found at times, I have difficulty navigating around this site to get information on a particular subject. And I waited quite a while for this particular story to get a review, but found no one had posted nor commented on it (I use search option often). My question to the group was "Is this story a late breaking news report or a dud?" No more and no less.

He does not even know the three names (he suggests they might even be Brits!), so why are they even interviewing him? And he appears to be taking the interview from his bed. Very odd.

They then start asking him about other news items, since they apparently have air time to kill, giving him an opportunity to argue that Trump not reaffirming Article 5 is no big deal and neither is Jared's secret channel to the Kremlin, that the media "will always find something" to pick on "the new administration" about. Baker is full of shit. And needs a shave and a cup of coffee.

Sounds to me like this is disinfo put out by Trump camp meant to discourage and intimidate potential leakers and as a distraction for Trump's base to focus on instead of the Trump/Russia connections. But it is possible Trump's paranoia has caused him to suspect WH staffers of leaks coming from WH (non political workers on staff who were kept on from previous administration such as the elevator operator who was recently let go)

NY Post's John Crudele who writes poorly written opinionated articles with pro-Trump spin and is not a reliable news source, claims to have source who says DOJ has gotten FISA warrant to eavesdrop on journalists who have been recipients of leaks and that focus is on a former US military person with ties to IC who was getting info from three WH staffers who were also there in Obama Admin. Story says these staffers have either already been fired or will be fired and have been referred to DOJ for investigation.

Sounds like jumbled up bogus story. Doesn't make sense that there would be any Obama holdovers still in WH with any access to classified info and if low level staffers leaked vague personnel rumors such as about infighting, those leaks wouldn't involve classified info and would not justify DOJ investigation.
