President Trump embarked on his latest Twitter tirade on Saturday morning, targeting CNN for its garbage journalism, reiterating claims of voter fraud, and bashing NBC hosts Joe Scarborough and "dumb as a rock" Mika Brzezinski for their low rated show. Trump also commented on Greta Van Susterens reported ouster at MSNBC, saying the host was let go by her out of control bosses at NBC and Comcast because she refused to go along w/ 'Trump hate!' He also made a point to reiterate voter fraud claims, writing, Numerous states are refusing to give information to the very distinguished VOTER FRAUD PANEL. What are they trying to hide?

UPDATE:
Trump: MSNBC Fired Greta Van Susteren Because She Wouldnt Go Along With Trump Hate
by Justin Baragona | 10:19 am, July 1st, 2017
The president has been quite busy on Twitter this Saturday morning, as is his habit. Besides continuing his feud with Morning Joe hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough, POTUS also decided to weigh in on a recent move by MSNBC.
As you may recall, the network let go of host Greta Van Susteren on Thursday after only six months, something she first revealed on Twitter. Well, the president noted that hes been hearing things about why Greta was dumped:

While one can make the case that Van Susteren wasnt as anti-Trump as many of the other hosts in the MSNBC lineup, she did speak critically of the presidents actions from time to time. Memorably, after Trump sent some tweets out stating that he never personally taped conversations with ex-FBI Director James Comey, Van Susteren tore into POTUS for his original tapes tweet, stating that it appeared he was trying to intimidate a witness.
Prior to her short-lived stint at MSNBC, Van Susteren hosted a program on Fox News for 14 years where she interviewed then-candidate Trump. Before that, she worked for CNN.

(7,616 posts)Now he and a few others say if they can't do both - just repeal the ACA and craft a new bill later. This idea would throw 32 million off the insurance markets instead of just 20 something. He is a master at distraction.
Every time there is bad news for the GOP or something is happening he doesn't want the public to know or think too much about, he just sends out an over-the-top, outrageous tweet. He accrues no cost for this as it only degrades the image and office of the Presidency which was only a means to an end for him anyway.

(11,514 posts)While we're busy talking about 45*s latest tweet tirade he's allowing his rich friends to poison our air and water, taking money away from public schools and diverting it to private business, and on and on.
There's so much harm being done right now through his choices for agency leaders etc. that it would take Democratic administrations 20 years to fix everything. We're fucked if we can't get control of the House and Senate ASAP.

(13,871 posts)Totally agree... Like others said Rachel nailed it.. She is so eloquent and makes things simple to understand.
I thing this reiterating claims of voter fraud is a false flag operation to limit voters that might ruin the elections and his re-election... YMMV.

(8,138 posts)Having a lunatic as president is bad enough. Racist, misogynist, whatever all he is, is bad. But when he starts messing with the voting system we really do need to draw the line. This is not acceptable.
His personally appointed vice-chair of the commission he is ranting about also won't- and can't- give the info to the panel. It's not legal. So Trump either knows this and is trying to create some hysteria anyway, or he just doesn't understand, which seems highly unlikely.
All the pieces of fascism are in place; the "loyalists" around him, the nationalism, the attempts to control the media, the attacks on enemies real and perceived... the final piece is to manipulate the voting system so they can never be challenged.
Just think of this! He is chasing an imaginary crisis that he invented and criticizing states for not violating the law and helping him pursue his delusion. He is trying to rig the system and it can't be allowed to happen.

(16,905 posts)et al are petting trump. They knew the laws, but the request for records is a binky for the baby in the White House. Timing it for now distracts from the shoes dropping on all sides. And the ridiculous tweets about a news show and news outlet is one of the most stupid actions I've ever seen.
If trump sent a tweet about me, I would laugh myself silly. The old thing about sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never hurt me. It's not like he's going to go to the network and physically do anything to the crew. He doesn't have the balls. And his traitor brownshirts are busy with crowd control in Oregon, and other jackboot activities.
I don't watch Morning Joe. But I'm glad they are under diaper's skin. Plenty of us are watching trump's other hand and his diversions won't work any more.

(23,065 posts)Why do you want all this information, to give it to Russia so they can delete all the Democrats from the voting rolls? Why they aren't releasing it? rIf he would take the time to read privacy laws, I'm sure he'd get an answer. But as usual, he just revels in his utter ignorance and never tries to find out the true facts.
Honeycombe8
(37,648 posts)We know they hacked registered voter data for some states. Thank God there wasn't a national list for them to zero in on parties or geographic areas they wanted to target. Each state, each district required a hack, and a different one at that. A national list would require ONE hack.
They WILL do it.
Trump is in place as a puppet. He's doing his job for them. Now to get a list lined up. All the pieces will line up for Russia to take control.

(25,183 posts)but I smell a rat. Joe and Mika were so nicey-nicey to Trump during the election, it seems quite peculiar that they've had such a public falling-out lately. Rather than de-escalating it, Mika comes out with the Cheerios box. I thought one of the first rules of journalism was to report the story, not to become the story.
As for Mika's intelligence, isn't this the same person that people here were calling MikaMouse because she couldn't out-argue Joe when he'd go on a conservative rant?

Honeycombe8
(37,648 posts)it's that they aren't willing to, and see no need to examine the facts themselves. They have someone who is telling them what's what, so why do they need to bother with their own decision making?
Trump has told them that the free press is the enemy of the people. Check.
Trump has told them the Russian thing is a partisan witch hunt by the Democrats. Check.
Trump has told them it has been proven he didn't collude. Check.
Trump has told them that he is not being investigated personally. Check.
Trump has told them that Mueller is heading a fake investigation as a witch hunt, because he's best friends w/Comey. Check.

(562 posts)This is what they wanted and what being politically incorrect means. A toxic attack dog with a lot of anger just like them. It makes them feel empowered even when he's ready to let them die and permanently impoverish them.
Meanwhile, Obama had to polite, and I think a lot of that Clinton hatred had to do with her being blunt in her criticisms.

(17,276 posts)He isn't doing anything complicated like trying to distract people from healthcare, for example. His attention span is short and he's bored with all this President stuff.
Like a person with dementia will do, he gets fixated on a subject and then just wears it out. It's the fake news media and Mika in particular right now.
He's mentally ill, and not capable of much, if any, strategic thinking. It might look like it, but I think that's just a coincidence.

If no one responded to his attention seeking garbage, he would explode into tiny pieces or at the least, have a stroke. He is like a little kid laying on the floor kicking his feet and pounding his head. If you ignore that behavior, it stops working. The more attention you pay to it, the more often it is done.
