Former USA Gymnastics Doctor Larry Nassar to Plead Guilty to Child Porn Charges
Source: CNN
Former USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar agreed to plead guilty to child pornography charges, according to a document scheduled to be filed in federal court this week.
Kim Kozlowski of the Detroit News reported Nassar will plead guilty to "three charges, including receipt and possession of child porn and destruction and concealment of records."
Nassar, 53, downloaded thousands of pornographic images and videos of children beginning in 2004. The document states he attempted to destroy the files and dispose of hard drives when it became clear he was under investigation.
"The defendant then turned the wiped laptop over to his employer," according to the document. "Forensic analysis of the machine revealed that the defendant had completely wiped it of all content."
As part of the plea agreement, prosecutors will not pursue child molestation charges for events that allegedly happened between 2006 and 2015. Nassar has been accused of sexually abusing more than 100 of his former patients, including former Team USA gymnasts.

So ..".the prosecutors will not pursue child molestation charges......" Fuck the prosecutors..Yes. child porn possession is bad, kinda kinky.................................
."Sexually abusing former patients"...more than 100......life in prison... ... like rape....
.He probably will get some years..maybe 10-who knows..and be labeled a pervert, but if he were in prison for "child molestation"..well..he wouldn't do so well in prison. That is my opinion, and it is ugly..but sexually molesting one hundred women, women under the guise of being their doctor..Well..you be the judge..

INVESTIGATIONS REVEALED THAT CHILDREN WERE BEING ABUSED IN GYMNASTICS GYMS, BUT NO ONE KNEW HOW WIDESPREAD THE PROBLEM WAS. UNTIL NOW.
A 12-year-old gymnast molested by an Olympic coach during therapy sessions.
Children as young as 6 secretly photographed nude by coaches.
Coaches who slipped a finger inside girls leotards.
A coach having almost daily sex with a 14-year-old at one of the countrys most prestigious gyms.
No one knows exactly how many children have been sexually exploited in Americas gyms over the past 20 years. At least 368 gymnasts have alleged some form of sexual abuse at the hands of their coaches, gym owners and other adults working in gymnastics.

Larry Nassar, the former Michigan State University sports doctor accused of sexual abuse, says he obtained "thousands of images and videos" of child pornography over a 13-year period and then paid a vendor to delete all material on his computer to evade investigators.
The acknowledgement came in a written plea agreement read aloud this morning in U.S. District Court in Grand Rapids, where Nassar pled guilty to receipt of child pornography, possession of child pornography and destruction and concealment of records.
Nassar, who has been in custody since December, could get 22 to 27 years in prison based on sentencing guidelines and tentative scoring of the case, said Assistant U.S. Attorney Sean Lewis.

The plea agreement says that in exchange for Nassar's guilty plea, the FBI will drop its investigation into conduct that allegedly occurred in his swimming pool during the summer 2015 involving two minor children and allegations of sexual abuse that occurred during interstate and international travel between 2006 and 2012 involving two other girls.
The interstate and international traveled involved Nassar's work with top U.S. gymnasts while he was team doctor and chief medical director for USA Gymnastics, the organization that oversees the sports in the U.S.

(21,104 posts)KNEW about it and kept their mouths shut. Even praising him as a great doctor.
"A fourth MSU athlete, Christie Achenbach, says she told a Michigan State coach in 1999 details of what happened to her during an appointment with Nassar that year -- a year after Thomas Lopez had complained to trainers about Nassar. Achenbach told Outside the Lines her coach assured her Nassar was a respected physician."
And for how long this had been happening with no repercussions. It's sickening.

At least 14 Michigan State University Officials were notified of sex abuse allegations against faculty member Larry Nassar, who also served as USA Gymnastics national team doctor, in the two decades before his shocking arrest but the school repeatedly missed opportunities to stop him, according to a damning report.
The Detroit News investigation, which drew information from university records and victim accounts, reported current MSU President Lou Anna Simon was among those notified.
I was informed that a sports medicine doctor was under investigation, Simon told the newspaper Wednesday after appearing in court for a Nassar sentencing hearing. I told people to play it straight up, and I did not receive a copy of the report. Thats the truth.
