Trump family members urging him to replace Priebus: report
Source: The Hill
Three of the most influential figures in President Trump's inner circle are lobbying the president to oust his Chief of Staff Reince Priebus, The Washington Post reported Tuesday.
Trump's wife Melania, eldest daughter and senior adviser Ivanka and son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner have privately pushed him to shake up his West Wing staff, most notably by replacing Priebus.
Priebus, who served as the chairman of the Republican National Committee before joining Trump's White House, has been rumored for months to be on his way out as the president's top assistant.
Deputy White House press secretary Lindsay Walters flatly denied that Priebus was on the chopping block, telling the Post that "these sources have been consistently wrong about Reince and theyre still wrong today."

(15,805 posts)Under Trump, the US Government looks more like an old world monarchy, rife with cutthroat court intrigue and reeking of self serving nepotism. They want Priebus out, and there's no line of eager job applicants standing at the gate who wants to be Trump's next whipping boy.
They're thinking if they can get rid of all the finger wagging naysayers and the dire Cassandras, then everything will be beautiful and wonderful, just like a fairytale. To that end, they got rid of all the qualified staff before they had anyone to replace them and now the massive wheels of government are barely functioning.
If Trump removed the Resolute Desk and plopped his ass in a gaudy, gilded throne, I would not be shocked.

(5,810 posts)Giving Reince Priebus the old heave ho? The first floor of the White House is in flames with an inferno moving up to the family living quarters and they were discussing getting rid of Reince?
I was born at night, but it wasn't last night. Just how far are they willing to go to try to act like everything is normal? A lot of focus has been on tRump Sr.'s mental state. I am going to come out and say it. The whole damn bunch of them are delusional. You cannot act the way they do and pass for sane or rational. The walls are closing in. Wonder how much longer they will keep up this charade that all is well?

(1,103 posts)Can't figure who is the dumbest one in that group. Well, Rethugs are notorious for limiting education and health in their states and wherever else they can do it, so what they get is an ignorant, sad public that votes for ignorant leaders. Trouble is, the rest of the country has to put up with the messes they create.
