Trump Teased Major News On Clinton Hours After Don Jr. Set Meeting On Russian Dirt

Donald Trump promised a “major speech” attacking campaign rival Hillary Clinton last June, just hours after his son, Donald Trump Jr., set up a meeting with a Russian lawyer he was told had compromising information on the Democratic candidate.

In a speech on June 7, 2016, first flagged by Washington Post reporter Philip Bump, then-candidate Trump promised vaguely to discuss “all the things that have taken place with the Clintons.”

“I am going to give a major speech on probably Monday of next week, and we’re going to be discussing all of the things that have taken place with the Clintons,” Trump said at the time. “I think you’re going to find it very informative and very, very interesting. I wonder if the press will want to attend. Who knows?”

Trump’s promise of big Clinton news came four days after his eldest son was contacted by publicist Rob Goldstone about information obtained by the Russian government that would be damaging to Clinton, according to emails Trump Jr. released Tuesday.

after of course initially being dismayed at the amount of reading it required someone somewhere to do to find... NOTHING "incriminating?" They got rolled.

WHY is everyone just taking them at their word on that?

Why would anyone believe that, or anything else any of them says, for that matter?

Think about this ... where's the follow-up email from DTJ to dude who set up the meeting from AFTER the meeting, castigating dude for sending DJT & Co to this meeting under false pretenses, and complaining there was no useful info given to the campaign?

Wouldn't DTJ have been pissed off about this? And wasn't email their preferred method of communication? And considering DJT himself had control over which emails to release, and that such an email would be at least semi-exonerating (clearly HE thinks that if he didn't 'get the dirt' it 'looks better' for him), it seems safe to believe he'd have released such an email ... if there was one.

I think it's more likely than not ... they got SOMEthing from the Russian, and it's something ... they want to keep hidden.

was given because -- as we know -- there was nothing incriminating in those email. At best hopeful clues that when followed up found nothing.

Incriminating was what was promised, but the Russians didn't have proof of what never happened.

They couldn't even provide an elusive "quo" to one of the hundreds of "quid pros" Hillary has been accused of to prove even one corrupt transaction actually took place.

For the most part (not folks like Rachel), the TV news is avoiding connecting the dots on this. It defies logic that each action by the Trump campaign stands alone and is mere coincidence.

They are avoiding looking at this news. Had the Clinton camp done any of the dirty deeds the tRump camp did, there would be multiple "hearings" with Gowdy, Issa and others slamming Hillary. They are complicit in this. McConnell delayed the Supreme Court nomination, KNOWING tRump was going to be in the WH. All we need now, is for THOSE emails and phone calls to be exposed. Traitorous old phony needs to be exposed, too.
