Tennessee cities adjust to law letting guns in buses, hubs

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The four biggest cities in Tennessee are now letting guns on their buses due to a new state law, but the change might not be obvious to riders from the vaguely worded rules posted by cities that opposed the law.

Transit policy changes in Nashville, Knoxville and Chattanooga rely on riders to know beforehand, or at least look up on their own, who can carry a gun. Memphis officials are still changing the wording of their policy on guns on buses and in stations, but have started letting permit holders carry their guns.

To comply with the law, which took effect July 1, Nashville changed its transit system's code of conduct, which had banned all weapons, to banning only those that are "unauthorized." No mention is made of the new law.

But the change in Nashville's rules doesn't provide much comfort to some parents whose children are among the thousands who use the city bus system to get to school every day.

Now I have to wonder if the guy getting on the bus is a psycho, a terrorist, or just one of our dear gun-loving patriotic Amerikkkans.

think if someone gets killed because some paranoid fucking asshole with a gun walking around looking like billy bob bad ass, is in fact a fucking asshole, walking around with a gun.

Who the fuck is "Liable" for this, and I mean this on the responsibility level, the person with a home, does his / her fucking insurance cover this shit, IF something were to happen.

Has anyone thought of that.

I remember some asshole walking around a auto parts store . And when I went into the parts store having this "guy" and his fucking gun strapped onto his side.

When I was at the counter, when he was standing there, I looked over at the person behind the counter and asked is this "guy" paranoid, and is your store responsible if something should happen on the liability side?

Where on your store front does it say "GUNS ARE ALLOWED" or "NOT ALLOWED"

I then went and walked into a bank and asked them what they would do if I just trapeze on in with a gun, what would they do, since the property owner thought it was just fine, since they were renting a building on his property, in fact, I went too every building on the property and asked them if there were liable, was the property owner liable or them, if something were to happen, where they responsible, if and when they sue the property owner.

Someone has to take responsibility for this shit, the assholes that passed the ordnance/ law.

The asshole walking around with a gun, does his / her insurance held liable, if something where to happen in the store / bus/ restaurant, the property owner who owns the land, the business, me just for standing there with some asshole with a gun.

I hate fucking guns, their only purpose is to hurt something, and don't give me this protection crap-------------fuck that and the horse it rides in on, and the fucking second amendment, that amendment was for slave holders and it was suppose to be regulated for the militia, so all of you second amendment types, lets not go there.

They just looked at me, like I was from space for: (1) for walking into a bank and asking that question / walking into Radio Shack/ Sears/ K-Mart/ and the grocery store, / jewelry store / shoe store / Borders/ if it would be alright to have a fucking gun, when I walked in.

Now is the bus company liable for this shit?

Did any of these FUCKING legislatures assholes think of that shit....................Nope

Does the fucking NRA think of that shit......................nope, they think they can go anywhere, anytime-------FUCK THEM

They're big and powerful enough to take on the NRA.
College basketball turned it around in N. Carolina with the threat of loss of NCAA tournaments.
Screw these low-life gunlovers.
Athletes, especially black athletes, have a stake in this and in protecting their communities from more gun violence.
