GOP senator warns of 'holy hell to pay' if Trump fires Sessions

Source: The Hill

BY JORDAIN CARNEY - 07/27/17 11:07 AM EDT

GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) is warning President Trump that any move to fire Attorney General Jeff Sessions will spark backlash from lawmakers.

"If Jeff Sessions is fired there will be holy hell to pay," Graham told reporters on Thursday morning.

Graham added that Trump's public criticism of Sessions is an effort to "marginalize" and "humiliate" the attorney general. The president's actions aren't "going over well" with his former colleagues, according to the senior Republican senator.

Graham also warned Trump against firing special counsel Bob Mueller, who is investigating any potential connections between the Trump campaign and Russia. Graham warned it would be the "beginning of the end for the Trump presidency."

Just heard him on TV, where he said, "any movement to remove Mueller would signal the beginning of the end of the tRump presidency..." sounds good, right? Here comes the disclaimer:"...unless he's (ie: Mueller) done something wrong."

And THERE is the typical, fucking wiggle room that Rs always, ALWAYS provide for themselves.

Because at the end of the day, when tRump does remove Mueller, we can count on Lindsey Graham to come to his defense by saying, "well, I agree that what Mueller did was wrong. Was it terribly wrong? Not in my opinion, necessarily. But this is a judgement call on the part of the (fake) president, and I will give him the benefit of the doubt. It's his call to make. Now, let's move on to more-important things."

through the summer without a recess. Hope that happens. Trump still has 85% of the list of presidential appointees NOT nominated for Senate approval. Looks like to me that he wants the Senate in recess so he can make "recess" appointments that last for the term of this Congress. That would be about 470 appointments of RW stooges into his administration. The list of neo-Luddites is scary: Gingrich, Bolton, Ghuiliani, ...

when it happens -

His impersonations in the voice of Scarlett O'hara when Lindsey would get "the vapors" were a close second to his McConnell turtle voice.

Lindsey, Lindsey, Lindsey. Donnie's entire business model revolves around getting other people to pay up front and skipping out on paying them what they're due. He is 'holy hell'.

It's all talk until you hit him, hard. Anything short of that he's heard before and skipped out for pennies on the dollar.
