Labor MP Khalil Eideh denied entry to the US

Source: The Age

BREAKING
July 28 2017 - 11:17AM

A Victorian Labor MP has been denied entry to the US while travelling on official parliamentary business.

Khalil Eideh, who was born in Lebanon and identifies as Muslim, was barred from boarding a flight to Denver while trying to leave from Vancouver, Canada.

He is travelling with a cross-party group MPs who are studying drug policy and heroin injecting rooms throughout Europe and North America.

Victorian Sex Party MP Fiona Patten, who is part of the delegation, said she was devastated.

Edit to add pic.

FFS, we're supposed to be allies.

And yep, Fiona Patten is really a member of Parliament and a representative of the Victorian Sex Party. She is a social justice champion and advocates for sex workers, etc.

Think how much better Congress would be if they replaced an all-nighter to destroy healthcare with a Victorian Sex Party.

The situations I can remember are people that have some kind of decent quality. Any kind of activism type persons and of course, Muslims.

Dear Media,
Please do extensive, massive, investigative reporting on what is happening at our borders.
Thank you!

I heard from a co-worker, who heard from a friend, who said their sister heard from her hair dresser, that her boy friend heard from a guy in the bathroom, that was talking to some guy on the subway, who heard from a recently escaped mental patient, that had heard from another patient, that knew of a guy (or was it a woman) that said you at one time may have said something nice about Muslims

In the Age of Trump, that should be enough

I admit that I clicked because I thought it might be one of our British MPs. But it's just as bad to do this with any country's MPs. Or anyone at all, for that matter. And might I guess that if that MP's name had been John Jones, he would not have been excluded? Pure racism.

On a more frivolous note: is his colleague's political party REALLY called the Victorian Sex Party?

They are "studying drug policy and heroin injecting rooms throughout Europe and North America." How do they find these heroin injecting rooms, and what do they study once they get there? Sanitation? Needle exchange? Sharps disposal?

The state government is considering them to reduce overdose and contamination deaths. So it's a government run thing.
