GOP Rep. Farenthold A No-Show At Duel Of Health Care Facts Protest
Source: TPM
Rep. Blake Farenthold (R-TX) was a no-show at a mock duel of health care facts at his Corpus Christi office Sunday, where nurses and teachers protested his support of repealing Obamacare.
The duel schtick was a reference to Farentholds comment on July 21, that he would have dueled the female senators from the Northeast holding up the Obamacare repeal effort Aaron Burr-style if they were men. Sens. Susan Collins (R-ME), Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) and John McCain (R-AZ) were ultimately responsible for stopping the most recent effort to repeal the Affordable Care Act.
But several progressive groups, KRISTV reported, took Farenthold at his word, inviting him to duel the facts of single-payer health care.
In a press release Friday, National Nurses Organizing Committee/National Nurses United Texas declared: ON BEHALF OF TEXAS PATIENTS, WE CHALLENGE REP. FARENTHOLD TO STEP OUTSIDE AND SETTLE THIS HEALTHCARE DEBATE MEDICARE-FOR-ALL STYLE, SAY NURSES.

(110,971 posts)He used to hold semi-regular town halls throughout the district, but he can't be found anywhere since Trump became president. I read articles from four different Websites which are in his district and unfortunately I must state that this is a district that is not well educated or politically aware. I don't have much hope that there will be any change in the next election because the clown deserves to be voted out of office.

(29,148 posts)but not one I happen to believe.
Usually, Halloween costumes allow one to "go as" something... a theme of some sort.
One year when I was young a group of us dressed up in coveralls wearing a sekeltor type mask with numerous green glow sticks positioned underneath the coveralls (but the glow was visible) and with Russian lettering spelling out Chernobyl Pipe Fitters Union... You can guess the year.
a bit of gallows humor perhaps.
We won the "best costume" prize at the party.
So... WTF is he "going as" to that Halloween party? 5 Year Old? And she was his "sexy babysitter / prostitute" date?

(29,148 posts)He apparently never grasped the concept behind ICANN and the "dot somethings" restrictions (.com .gov .org .edu .mil).
blowme.org could never be used by a for profit porn site.
However, the domain name sitters were a slimy bunch so that plus the fact that he owned "blowme.org" doesn't surprise me at all.
