Source: Newsweek

TRUMP WHITE HOUSE’S LATEST STRATEGY TO DEAL WITH LEAKS… HAS BEEN LEAKED

BY CALLUM PATON ON 9/14/17 AT 7:47 AM

The newest strategy from the Trump administration to deal with its persistent problem of information leaks has been leaked to to the press, less than a week after it was sent to senior government officials.

The memo sent by President Trump’s National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster across all government agencies, which urged senior officials to clamp down on leaks, was reported by BuzzFeed Wednesday after the news website was sent a copy of the email.

Dated September 8, the message from McMaster, the nation’s most senior security official, asked all federal agencies to hold a one-hour “organization-wide event” to look into how they could bolster prevention of leaks.

“For those with access to classified information, a review of the non-disclosure agreement reminds us of the responsibilities that come with access to, and penalties for unauthorized disclosure of, classified information,” the memo reads.

I have been smiling and giggling several minutes.

Trump White House is at least good at comedy.

When we've got a Rube-in-Chief - one that has NO respect from anyone that matters - there's not enough thumbs in the White House to plug all the potential leaks.

Intel, you have no leadership to stand on. Unfortunately, shit rolls down hill and the biggest steaming pile is sitting at the top. The whistleblowers are the patriots.

Send half of people one set of info and send the other half other info. Whichever info gets leaked says there is a leaker in one of the two sets. Then repeat with the smaller set of people until convergence to a specific leaker.

There may be multiple leakers though!!! Also someone from set 1 may share with set 2 and the person from set 2 could share set 1 information, so some details to iron out, but something like that.

Easier way to deal with leaks -

Don't have policies and high level personnel that are so alarming that normal people, AKA "people with a conscience", feel compelled to get the word out before serious damage is done.

the people currently in charge apparently do not understand the concept of "people with a conscience".

Or perhaps they do, but have no idea that this "affliction" is so widespread in the human species. They've heard of this thing called "having a conscience", but they've only rarely encountered it directly and certainly don't associate with anyone so afflicted.

The memo says that leaks of classified and controlled unclassified information constitutes a “harm to our Nation and shakes the confidence of the American people.”

Yeah, what "shakes the confidence of the American people" isn't just hearing stuff that would normally not be public, it's hearing stuff that shows what a bumbling bunch of incompetent idiots we now have in the white house.

If they want no leaks, tell the truth. It's only because the administration and president are serial liars do leakers step up to correct the record.

As long as they tell lies there will be leaks.

The way I read it, the strategy is:
Hold a meeting to discuss how to create a strategy.
