Four NFL team owners gave $1 million each. Woody Johnson of the New York Jets, Daniel Snyder of the Washington Redskins, Robert McNair of the Houston Texans and the Jacksonville Jaguars’ Shahid Khan all made donations in 2016. In February, Khan, the NFL’s only Muslim owner, publicly opposed Trump’s ban on travel from six predominantly Muslim countries.

Kraft Group, a firm associated with New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, also gave $1 million.

Taking a knee is about police brutality on Black Americans.

Love that many NFL players are so offended by Trump that they are taking a knee.

BUT

Police wantonly killing Black People is the real issue.

Thank you, Mr. President. Your hatred and stupidity will bring a lot of attention to the hatred and racism that has existed in America for centuries.

But AFAIC, given the problems American football has (it is, after all, the bastard child of rugby and soccer), there's probably not much of a market for it, outside of Canada (and they have their own league and rules) and a few other countries.

Problems include: the CTE injury issues, the number of players needed, the inherent anti-democratic nature of the game in terms of opportunity and participation (in contrast to other team sports). . .etc.

Been wanting a team there for awhile now. There had been talk on and off of moving the Jags there.

While it's nice what they are doing; As a life long fan of NFL, I have chose to walk away from the sport because of the brain injuries we now know it causes. I cannot support a "sport" that kills it's players.
