Samsung investigating Chinese child labor abuse allegations

Source: China Labor Watch

Samsung on Tuesday announced it is investigating child labor abuse allegations stemming from an undercover report released Monday, which claims the company's Chinese manufacturer HEG is employing workers as young as 14.

According to China Labor Watch, HEG's factory is responsible for manufacturing Samsung smartphones, MP3 players and audio components, among other products.

Samsung maintains the HEG factory passed muster in a recent audit, but the company plans to investigate further.

Princelings, Corporate scumbags, politicians and celebrities are given everything. The other 98% of the population is kept down by a series of self-imposed traditions and cultural taboos designed to stifle any attempt at becoming better.

How this system hasn't collapsed yet is amazing to me.

...is this Apple's and Apple Fans way of pointing a finger at Samsung and stating...
"See! We are not the only turd in the pot."

The difference is that Samsung is a South Korean based company, where as Apple is a US based company.
One would expect Apple to have a few more ethics.

I guess ethics are always eclipsed by profits in this global economy. I'm sure Samsung will state that they knew nothing about this, just like Apple did. All will be forgotten in a few weeks.

using child labor: we'll look into it. Nike did it, Puff Daddy's Sean Jean line did it, and now Samsung is in on it. Its just like how Them Hartmann said it, we didn't end slavery in this country, we simply exported it.

P.S. So, I guess Apple is still Public Enemy No.1 when it comes to international labor violations.

Chinese Authority: 'We will be there to inspect in three hours. Hide the underage workers.'

Factory Manager: 'Thank You. There will be a bonus in your scheduled bribe.'

Maybe it's time for US citizens to stop buying these crap products produced by these entities? This is the only way things are going to change.
