Trump Undermines Tillerson via Twitter: Wasting His Time Trying to Negotiate with Little Rocket Man
by Josh Feldman | 10:44 am, October 1st, 2017
President Trump is tweeting about North Korea and little Rocket Man again.
This time its apparently in response to Secretary of State Rex Tillerson talking about having lines of communications to Pyongyang yesterday:

(495 posts)None of them are the people WE want, but if Tillerson, Mattis, McMaster, or Gen. Kelly leave, it is NOT to be replaced by someone better.

(4,825 posts)screaming? Why is the media allowing this fanning of the flames? Why are the voices of people who matter and could possible change the situation silent? I don't expect congress to do anything because the republicans in charge there are much the same as trump*. It's just the style that is different: he's overt w/his craziness and they are covert.

I think this might be a time when ALL the ex Presidents, Democratic and Republican, get together to write a very sobering statement that speaks about how outside past US experience Trump really is - especially on foreign policy. The best that might happen is for there to be dissent on a level below ex-President. There are very high level Republican foreign policy people who have been outspoken on the damage done to American leadership in the world by Trump -- including James Baker, GHWB's Secretary of State who was also in Reagan's cabinet.
Here is a February 2017 article on his disagreements - http://people.com/politics/jim-baker-assesses-trump-presidency/ Last month, he was at the Yale Climate Conference that former Secreatary Kerry led. Beyond disagreeing with the US leaving the Paris Accord, his proposal is stronger than many 2010 Democratic Senators would have agreed to. ( http://yaledailynews.com/blog/2017/09/21/inaugural-kerry-conference-discusses-climate-change/ ) This even though he was always skeptical of climate change, seeing action on it as an "insurance policy" in case the scientists (yeah - all 99% of them) are correct.
I wonder if all the former Secretaries of State, maybe led by Schultz of Baker, spoke of the damage to our foreign policy by dropping out of the Paris Accord, while lying about what it asked of the US, and potentially dropping out of the Iran nuclear deal - again lying about what it was supposed to accomplish. For a party that mocked Obama, claiming he was leading from behind, these actions mean that we will not be leading at all. In fact, it would destroy our ability to negotiate at all. It is sad when I agree with the FM of Iran, Zarif, leaving will make the US seem an unreliable diplomatic partner. That more than his tweets and the fact that he routinely undercuts Tillerson destroys our ability to be seen as leading the world. Which leader would trust him enough to follow -- on anything.

(4 posts)Since no one in any political scenario seems to be able to curtail 45 from inciting discord and agitating/advocating violence, this last tweet of his stating to Tillerson that he is "wasting time" trying to negotiate with N. Korea, means we as citizens need to demand Twitter to remove him from using Twitter. I have contacted the Twitter Board requesting them to remove Trump from using their service.
This horrible person needs to be curtailed immediately.
