Eric Holder slams Sessions' 'almost obsession with marijuana'

Source: The Hill

Eric Holder on Tuesday hit Attorney General Jeff Sessions for the Trump administration's push to crack down on marijuana use, calling it an “almost obsession.”

Holder, who served as attorney general during the Obama administration, accused Sessions of putting the Justice Department at odds with the agency's previous decisions on marijuana, The Washington Examiner reported.

Holder discussed previous Justice Department guidance that said the federal government wouldn’t enforce laws banning recreational marijuana sales in states where the substance was legalized, as long as violations like underage sales weren't taking place.

"I think that was a really good policy," Holder said in remarks at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, according to the Examiner. "The Sessions almost obsession with marijuana I think is the thing that's put the Justice Department in this strange place."

from work and won't obsess over work issues. Weed will have them interested, or not interested, in other things. Then they will go to sleep again not creatively obsessing over work. How are big business supposed to get maximum productivity out of employees if they don't own their creative process after hours and during sleep as well?

Everyone smokes weed there and the rate for crime is really low. Thankfully the laws in canada are going to be really severe for adolescents getting a hold of any weed because their brains are so vulnerable. But after the age of majority it will be legal here in a year. Puts me to sleep so it is not my thing. I never enjoyed it.

Is it just me? Why does Sessions still have a job in our government? He should be breaking rocks or something, shouldn't he?

Obama and Holder had eight years to reschedule mj.

Holder may have tinkered at the edges of enforcement policy, but it was far too little, too late, and now all in jeopardy of becoming much worse due to the illegit AG and his insane clown boss.

... and progressivism. It's a losing fight. It's doomed. He will create a lot of awful bother and upset and some destruction of lives but it won't work.

It's over, Jeff. Your side of regressive killjoy prohibitionists lost the war.
