Preet Bharara fires back at Trump's NBC license threat

Source: The Hill

Former U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara fired back at President Trump’s threat to take away NBC’s broadcast license.

Bharara, a frequent Trump critic, replied to the president’s tweet, writing that it’s time for employees of the “adult daycare” that is the White House to “report for duty.”

Adult daycare shift alert. Please report for duty. https://t.co/NgAP03X4xp
— Preet Bharara (@PreetBharara) October 11, 2017

The phrase was a reference to Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.), who called the White House an “adult day care center” earlier this week in the midst of a feud with the president.

Ivanka is such a great target because her facial enhancement and upkeep are the most successful things about her. Having a great deal of input and power in areas she (and Jared) absolutely know nothing about is annoying as hell, even if she usually makes herself look foolish. I can just imagine the reaction if Hillary had put Chelsea ( who has a PhD in International Relations from Oxford, while Ivanka has an undergrad degree in business from Penn) in those same positions).

I don't think Ivanka is a "great target. In fact, I don't think any of the Trump kids are, with the possible exception of Don Jr because of his involvement in the campaign.

As for Ivanka, she's actually too young for Botox.. She colors her hair? So do many women, so, to be honest, these comments seem petty and even "catty" to me.

That is just fair .............. Trump comes out and attacks, attacks often and harshly. Making fun of how people look.
Ivanka is an adviser, did Ivanka advise him to do this?? She might have and then denied it. Can't tell because she has been caught in lies.

The republicans attacked Michelle Obama and Hillary about their looks all the time.

I am not in favor of attacking one for their looks, but for me it is hard sometimes.

between big business and public service. Ivanka’s “brand” is also a political statement. SHE fails to keep things separate. So I’m not prone to making clear distinctions between her business and political roles. If she’s an advisor to Trumpy and is NOT leveraging her political/public service activities with business branding, there’s plenty of justification for not taking aim at her glamour/vanity image. But it is Ivanka who intentionally blends both roles, so all bets are off.

As a licensed cosmetic art(ist), black roots paired with bleached blonde hair is fashionable in some circles. 🙄 MB she should do that style. 😝

Some have botoxed and rearranged themselves into the realm of hideous. Like sporting 'liver lips'. I always strive to just minimally enhance one's nature-given beauty.

I could do with a spa massage myself right now if I dint spend endless time keeping up to snuff on the latest. Mostly daily fiascoes.

Theoretically, he could fire the Commissioners, pack the FCC with his own "yes" men, and pull NBC's broadcast license.

I doubt it would work, and probably would end up in court for quite some time, but Trump could do it, just like he fired Comey.

I checked on this after first posting and here's what I found:

"As to the substance of Trump's threat: The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) issues broadcast licenses to stations, not networks. Thus, to revoke NBC's right to broadcast, the FCC would need to terminate the licenses that the network's parent company, Comcast, holds for various NBC stations.1 hour ago"
