CNN Poll: Obama holds 7-point lead over Romney (52-45)

Source: CNN

Washington (CNN) - Mitt Romney's unfavorable rating is up, most Americans think the Republican presidential challenger favors the rich, and it appears the number of people who believe that the economy will not get better if Romney is elected has edged up slightly, according to a new national poll.

But a CNN/ORC International survey released Thursday also indicates that Romney's supporters are increasingly getting behind the presumptive GOP nominee.

It all adds up to a seven point advantage for President Barack Obama over the former Massachusetts governor, with 52% of registered voters questioned in the survey saying that they'd vote to re-elect the president and 45% backing Romney.

"Among independent voters, the poll indicates President Obama has a 53%-42% lead," CNN Polling Director Keating Holland said. "The president holds a nine point advantage among women voters and a smaller six point edge among men."

Had to get that one linked to Drudge and fast to try to change the narrative of Obama climbing in the polls.

This poll shows Obama with a 6 point lead with men. And only a 7 point lead overall. I have not seen other polls where Obama has the lead with men. Offsetting that, Obama only had a 9 point lead with women. Other polls all show Obama with a double digit lead with women. It looks like they may have over polled males and Democrats and that is a hard combination to put together. The independent lead of 11% also looks suspect given the other numbers. I clearly wouldn't expect Obama to have a smaller lead with women than with independents. Accordingly, I don't put much stock in this poll even though I like the outcome.

"Fox just released a new presidential poll showing President Obama leading Mitt Romney by 9 points. That’s the second poll today and the third in the last two days. The other two (from CNN and Ipsos/Reuters) both had Romney down by 7."

Debate dates that I saw a couple weeks ago:

October 3rd, 16th and 22nd.

Mittens is gonna be twitching and squirming...he will have that funky smile and the eyes will be blinking TOO fast (aren't those
all signs of LYING?!)

The only thing is...the Hating/Bagger crowd is gonna love that he is the non-colored man, no matter what he says...that is enough for them.
