UPDATED: White House: Americans are 'going to be begging for four more years of President Trump'

Source: Politico

By NOLAN D. MCCASKILL 10/17/2017 09:57 AM EDT

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders predicted Tuesday that President Donald Trump will be so successful in the remainder of his term that Americans are “going to be begging for four more years of President Trump.”

In an interview Tuesday morning, conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt suggested that Trump needs to return to Cleveland, where he was nominated to be the Republican Party’s presidential nominee in 2016, to be renominated in 2020. But the Trump administration spokeswoman was bullish on the president’s prospects to reclaim the GOP nomination, regardless of where the party holds its 2020 nominating convention.

“You know, I don’t know if that’s even being talked about yet, but I have a lot of confidence that that shouldn’t be an issue for the president to be renominated,” Sanders said. “He’s had an incredibly successful first nine months in office, and I think the next 3½, or 2½, three years, are going to be equally as successful, including getting tax reform done, which is going to be a big deal and make a really big impact on most Americans.”

“And they’re going to be begging for four more years of President Trump,” she added.

UPDATE:

White House tells Corker: Stop 'name calling and get back to work'

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Tuesday left the door open to speak with Tennessee Sen. Bob Corker, a retiring Republican lawmaker who has openly criticized President Donald Trump in recent weeks.

In an interview Tuesday morning with conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt, Sanders lamented Corkers’ lack of outreach to patch things up with the White House.

“You know, sadly, Senator Corker hasn’t called me, but if he’d like to visit, I’d be happy to talk to him and certainly see if we could get him back on board and do, frankly, what the people of Tennessee elected him to do,” Sanders said. “That’s come here, help do things that protect our country, protect our citizens and do a lot of the things that they campaigned on, whether it’s repeal and replace, tax reform.” And she offered one bit of advice: “Hopefully, he’ll get out of the name calling and get back to work here pretty soon,” she said.

Corker has gotten calls from Vice President Mike Pence, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin. But the senator — who has said the president concerns him, warned that the president’s tweets could lead to “World War III,” accused the president of castrating his secretary of state, suggested the president lacks stability and competence, and hinted that without his top advisers, Trump would bring chaos to the world — hasn’t heard directly from Trump and doesn’t know when he will.

2. Do you think she actually believes the BS she says?

I find it hard to accept that she actually believes what she is saying every day. That would take a truly delusional person.

... are cut short, and we have some decency and compassion brought back to the White House.

Sadly, even if he does resign, America won't get it.

- no wall
- no coal-jobs
- ISIS is still here
- no muslim ban
- no tax-reform (tax-cuts are not the same as tax-reform...)
- The US is diplomatically isolated and the world hates/disrespects Trump.
- Neither repeal nor replace for Obamacare. So far, he has just sabotaged it to make it eventually collapse.

Well, he has "drained the swamp", with "draining the swamp" being newspeak for "shrinking the government".

But it won't be for four more years of Trump. We'll be begging for soup bones and unspoiled canned goods as we shamble through the smoldering streets.

Why on earth would he call you?, you're a barely competent mouthpiece with zero government experience except for lying to the American People.

Oh wait, that's called experience when you're a puke.
