Sgt. La David T. Johnson’s mother, Cowanda Jones-Johnson, told The Washington Post that she was present during the call from the White House on Tuesday to Johnson’s widow, Myeshia Johnson. She also stood by an account of the call from Rep. Frederica S. Wilson (D-Fla.) that Trump told Myeshia Johnson that her husband “must have known what he signed up for.”

“President Trump did disrespect my son and my daughter and also me and my husband,” Jones-Johnson said.

That advice might work for a father, but not for a mom or wife. They need comfort, not to hear, "he knew what he was getting into."
But that's just my opinion.

It’s a phrase to deliver to a father who also served in the military, but no way appropriate to say to a widow. Sorry, Kelly, but the audience matters, and I am certain you already knew that when you stepped to the podium in this failed attempt to provide cover for your empathy-deficient boss.

Kelly was wrong to criticize the congress woman for listening to the call when they where listening as well.

She was in the car with the Johnson family and the president was on the speaker phone.

Its like Kelly says we (Trump admin) can listen in on the call but the congresswoman who is a family friend was wrong for listening to the call.

Thats GARBAGE for kelly to say that.

Also the statement of he know what he was getting into is wrong. Kelly should not act like that is normal.

I watched it, and even though you realized the pain Kelly felt about his son that was no excuse to "normalize" Trump's "I don't give a shit" behavior toward a widow in her time of suffering. The whole thing makes me mad. Maybe Kelly is being a patriot, keeping the Orange shit bag from blowing up the world. I hope so. But it was uncomfortable to watch, and sad to see.

He is no less a human turd and opportunist than the buffoon-in-chief. What a capstone to a life in government service.

And you know full well that his boss will use these comments as more political fodder for more attacks. You associate yourself with evil, you are evil. He could have been thought a wise man if only he'd kept his mouth shut. But no. . . these evil fucks have to double down on every fucking thing.

Let this be a lesson to any who thought, as I sometimes did, that Kelly was the only thing between the b-i-c and nuclear war. He'll be right there with the b-i-c, licking his ass while he enters the codes.

There are a lot of things one can say, but saying "he knew what he was getting into" is not one of them. Trump has no sense of appropriateness. Kelly should just keep his mouth shut. These young men and women who join the military are basically there to protect the 1%. More war, more profits.

You can talk like that years down the road, but not when it is so fresh.

And the Congresswoman was there as the family's friend. The widow ooted to let her family listen.

I think it does matter to hear from the president, not just friends. It's important to know that the head of the nation for whom the sacrifice was made knows about it.

I think kelly's attitude is driven partly because his son's death was already well-known among the higher-ups.

Oct 2017

I have a fucking question......................why was he on a fucking golf course playing golf with a retired person from the JAG office, plotting mind you to fuck people out of heath care to report that to his /your party caucus, because after all the asshole that he was playing golf with, also has a lack of empathy.

Now that you have explained how the body is packed in ice, and repacked in ice from Germany and flown to Dover with the flag of this country draped over the metal casket, to then be embalmed and to have there uniforms put on them and all of there medals, prior to being buried, your fucking sexual predator -n-chief, was playing fucking golf, playing fucking golf, and not even asking for any fucking morning briefings or situational reports out in the field------------------not one, that we know of.

But we know he was fucking on his play toy, that fucking phone and tweeting is fucking BS, about players from the NFL, or some other diversion of this asshole not being a man to understand his responsibilities to the fallen..............because he is a traitor.

The chain of command could have been a company commander, the general in charge and the guy heading the whole shebang, could have sent a letter, made a phone call.

Or to imagine that a solider would be standing outside the home of the fallen from the graves registration department to wait for the light to come on in the morning at the house, to tell these family members what happened, this fucking did not happen.

It took 12 days, let me repeat this twelve days to have anything done, or said--------------------you sir, knew better, until now

If he had an issue, perhaps he should have raised it earlier. Heck, he sat at the same table as Michelle Obama at a dinner honoring the sacrifices of soldiers who died in the service of their country. Instead, Kelly happily lets Trump use his dead's son memory to defend Trump's crass attacks on his predecessors.

Does Kelly have any decency?
