This morning, President Donald Trump began his weekend like so many others before with a tweetstorm. In this instance, he touched on issues such as the recently passed budget deal, his decision to allow classified JFK files to be released as scheduled and the stock market. And he also decided to continue his latest feud with Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-FL).

The timing of Trumps hate-tweets at Wilson a family friend of the Johnsons this morning has already come under question considering Sgt. Johnsons funeral is today.

(38,414 posts)By tweeting on this, the day of a fallen soldier's funeral, Trump defines himself even more than ever.
Why is that good? It is truly disgusting to see this today. So maybe one percent of those who thought Trump was OK, now see him for who he really is. That is one percent more than before. This is so distasteful, that we are talking about a couple of million Americans changing their opinion to negative on Trump. They might have been fence sitters, or mildly supportive of Trump, but this one, still arguing about this on the day of the funeral, will change some to a far more negative view. And when I say some if it is just one percent, that is 3 million people, because one percent of 315,000,000 is 3 million. That is a lot of changed opinions. That many more on our side is very good indeed

(22,651 posts)with Emmett Louis Till *decades ago, An OPEN CASKET FUNERAL will create HUGE POSITIVE changes in America.
That's my opinion and I wish there was a way to ask Mrs Johnson to please do this. I did read she wanted to view her husbands body and it wasn't recommended.
*Emmett Louis Till (July 25, 1941 August 28, 1955) was a 14-year-old African-American who was lynched in Mississippi in 1955, after a white woman said she was offended by him in her family's grocery store. The brutality of his murder and the fact that his killers were acquitted drew attention to the long history of violent persecution of African Americans in the United States. Till posthumously became an icon of the Civil Rights Movement.
Till's mutilated corpse on display. His mother had insisted on an open-casket funeral. Images of Till's body, printed in The Chicago Defender and Jet magazine, made international news and directed attention to the lack of rights of blacks in the U.S. South.
