IVANKA TRUMP SOMEHOW DIDN'T MENTION THE DONALD J. TRUMP FOUNDATION IN HER FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE REPORT
BY CELESTE KATZ ON 10/21/17 AT 10:27 AM
Maybe it just slipped her mind. Ivanka Trump's federal financial disclosure report doesn't mention her past involvement with the charitable foundation that bears her family's nameand which remains under investigation for self-dealing.
President Donald Trump's daughter is working as an advisor to him in Washington while her two adult brothers run the family's business empire. As a result, she was required to submit details about her income and jobs outside the federal government over a period of several years before she joined the executive branch. But even after multiple updates, Ivanka Trump's financial disclosure form appears to make no mention of her time as a director of the Donald J. Trump Foundation, which New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman is investigating for fraud.
"The reason senior White House officials disclose their financial interests is so the American people can be sure they are not attempting to personally profit from their public position," Harrell Kirstein of American Bridge, the progressive opposition-research PAC which flagged the omission, told Newsweek.
"Ivanka Trump and her father think they're above the law. They're not," Kirstein continued. "At every turn, they have been caught lying and attempting to sell out the public for their own personal gain."

(16,254 posts)It's amazing how often they fail to list items on their financial disclosure forms. Don't they have this stuff listed somewhere for easy reference? I realize they have substantial holdings within holdings that might be difficult to follow, but they seem to be selective. It is my understanding they use a lot of these foundations/charities for their own petty cash funds. I'm sure they remember the accounts at that point.
My, my, Ivanka. You are too young to be so forgetful. Surely, as a young mother, you wouldn't set a bad example by lying? Surely.

(127,324 posts)it's always "who you know" and "who has the most money". They never had to produce stuff like this because their lawyers and accountants worked out all sorts of loopholes and fabrications on their behalf.
But because they are now working for the government, suddenly the rules "changed", but they have been refusing to adapt to that reality. They want all the trappings and imagery but not all the restrictions that come when you decide to work for the government.

(127,324 posts)They ARE above the law. As long as they have been permitted to operate in a criminal fashion and not be prosecuted for it, then that only goes to prove that they can flaunt their ability to break the law any which way they want with no repercussions.

(16,254 posts)and, in so doing, they spend time behind bars? I don't mean some luxury resort complex, but a federal, maximum security facility like the common folk do when incarcerated? I don't think anyone has the balls to pull that off.
I picture a public shaming through the media and a march out of the White House to be considered proper and sufficient punishment. That would only ruin one day of their lives and they'd be right back to their former tricks of the trade.
If they aren't going to enter a prison complex, I think fines of billions of dollars is the least we could do...and, I'm not speaking of billions in the single digits. For once, bankrupt them for life and let them find out what it feels like to live as the poor and common folk of 2017-18.

(127,324 posts)the only ones who could get him are the AGs, like NY AG Eric Schneiderman (on state charges).
And no, white collar criminals don't go to maximum security prisons. And the irony is, even in prison, some never change -

Bernie Madoff is still in business even though he is behind bars. The convicted fraudster behind the biggest Ponzi scheme in US history hogged the market for hot chocolate in prison, according to a MarketWatch interview with Steve Fishman, a reporter who has had considerable contact with Madoff.
Madoff, 78, was sentenced in 2009 to 150 years in prison for an extensive scheme that involved doctoring his clients' account statements and returns. He is incarcerated in Butner, North Carolina.
In an interview, Fishman told MarketWatch's Ryan Vlastelica:
"Bernie really was a successful businessman with quite original insights into the market, and he's continued applying his business instincts in prison. At one point, he cornered the hot chocolate market. He bought up every package of Swiss Miss from the commissary and sold it for a profit in the prison yard. He monopolized hot chocolate! He made it so that if you wanted any, you had to go through Bernie."

He was elected under the same illegal circumstances. So he should not replace tRump if tRump is impeached. The whole gang
