A Montana Republican official on Thursday said she would have shot the reporter Rep. Greg Gianforte (R-MT) body-slammed a day before he was elected to office.
If that kid had done to me what he did to Greg, I would have shot him, Karen Marshall, the vice president of programs for Gallatin County Republican Women, said on the Voices of Montana radio program.
Jon Arneson, the shows host, confirmed Marshalls identity on Friday to the Helena Independent Record.
I was there. Im a friend of Gregs, Marshall said. It wasnt a body-slam.
She claimed that Ben Jacobs, the reporter Gianforte attacked, came on private property, came into a private building and went into a very private room that I would not even have gone into.
It was a setup, Marshall claimed. He just pushed a little too hard.

Hey Marshall, why and how do you have a "gun", your dangerous to society.
You in fact are just as dangerous as the MORON in the white house that said this:
The reporter was protected under the 1st Amendment Marshall, and he is also protected under the rules of law from assault with intent, and your republican "guy' assaulted a reporter and he plead guilty to the assault

(1,474 posts)The GOP has managed to keep racism out of plain view (to other racists and enablers at least) for decades.
Enter Trump. Racism exposed so blatantly that feigning ignorance of it is delusional or a blatant lie (the blatant lie is what I believe).
This may be cathartic for America in the long term. Will the racist evil being exposed motivate more to vote? Or more to open their minds and hearts?
The future of democracy depends on how this motivates people who have not participated in democracy or have kept their head buried in the sand.

the lyricist, lead singer, originally from Montana, is a Rand Paul devotee.
This composer, singer's rights and all but my right to go cold on that.
Seems odd a two-tone band and support of a racist..maybe their gig is all just for show.
