'Kill them all' -- Russian-linked Facebook accounts called for violence

Source: CNN

Posts from three now-removed Facebook groups created by the Russian Internet Research Agency suggest Russia sought not only to meddle in U.S. politics but to encourage ideologically opposed groups to act out violently against one another. The posts are part of a database compiled by Jonathan Albright, the research director at Columbia University's Tow Center for Digital Journalism, who tracks and analyzes Russian propaganda.

For example, "Being Patriotic," a group that regularly posted content praising Donald Trump's candidacy, stated in an April 2016 post that Black Lives Matter activists who disrespected the American flag should be "be immediately shot." The account accrued about 200,000 followers before it was shut down.

Another Russia-linked group, "Blacktivist," described police brutality in a November 2016 post weeks after the election, and stated, "Black people have to do something. An eye for an eye. The law enforcement officers keep harassing and killing us without consequences."

The group "Secured Borders" had the most violent rhetoric, some of it well after the presidential election. A post in March 2017 described the threat of "dangerous illegal aliens" and said, "The only way to deal with them is to kill them all." Another post about immigrants called for a draconian new law, saying, "if you get deported that's your only warning. You come back you get shot and rolled into a ditch... BANG, problem solved." And a post about refugees said, "the state department needs to be burned to the ground and the rubble reduced to ashes."

7. IMO paid media trolls and violent agitators we've seen at USA protests were paid by Republicans.

And of course declaring war on them would be a mistake. But they've been playing all of us for chumps.

The scary thing is that some of them I know were not foreign operatives or even paid trolls. They were just twisted folks who thought that. I figured the Russians (or whoever) just took the darkest and sickest hatred they could find and amplified it so that it became "normalized" within the targeted groups.

Such as at BLM rallies, Charlottesville, Berkeley, etc. is the result of Russian paid agitators trying to destabilize our democracy...

Mueller and his investigators should be given just enough rope to hang themselves for a coup attempt. Firing squad in front of a ditch should follow.

We need pictures. We need to know what these people look like. We need to be able to recognize them on the street

I think it's kind of cute how the Elites, the Media & the Uniparty think that President Trump's peasants are just going to stand by while they try to pull their usual sh*t.

We'll be arranging neck-tie parties, and to paraphrase National Treasure: "Someone has got to provide the neck, Ben."

We are also gonna need a list of buildings more than 5 or 6 stories tall to throw them {gays} from.

The second American civil war isn’t going to start with troops shooting firearms. It already started when a foreign-born muslim was installed as president.

Wake up and see what is happening around you.

Hmmm. I think it goes without saying that there is a coup actively underway in our country... And I hope the shooting starts pretty soon because if it don't, we are going to lose.....

I believe the progressives (better known as the commies) probably won't start the action because they are winning right now... So, there is no need for them to do so at this time... But we, (better known as he Constitutional Conservatives) on the other hand, better make our move pretty darn soon because the left is busy importing their "ARMY" into our country as fast as they can..!!! And YES... I really believe this to be true.. That's why the stinking, lousy traitor known as the obummer refused to enforce our immigration laws and imported all those Muslims.......

The one thing we got going for us is the vast majority of the oath takers, that is to say the police, army and such, are on our side... I don't want to be on the losing side so the sooner we start the dance the better....

why just foment conflict with disinformation and lies?

encouraging actual violence would leave some real scars.

The Russians have never shiied away from offing a few opponents here and there, if my education is accurate. Why would they refrain from that here?

Turkey for example- they shot down that Russian jet, (jet was taunting in their airspace), 'bloodiest coup attempt in its political history' and a huge airport bombing at one of the worlds largest hub airports. Those bombers had Russian passports.

That country changed over about a year, many wealthy people dumped everything and fled Turkey. just as a back story one of my groups rescues dogs, a huge group of golden retrievers were dumped in Turkey by some wealthy person who fled the country, over one night two years ago. My group rescued 18 dogs* and brought them here to USA. beautiful dogs, starving in the streets/woods of Turkey. The rescue of Golden's is probably still in the usa papers somewhere. That country changed over night from very violent 'interference'. IMO, Russia's behind that too. and can easily happen here in America.

**edited to add link to story about the 18 my group sponsored. there were about 250 goldens in all flown to usa. defiantly 'show type' from some kennel just dumped as owners fled the country. Fostered 2 of them for a while, they all got good homes pretty fast.

RW idiots fall for it. We think the RW are idiots and look down on them. And it further divides them.

Of course we can't have peaceful discussion amongst Americans to resolve our issues and defeat a foreign country trying to destabilize our country. That would be way too productive and useful. Better to just spread bullshit to enrage people. It's so simple
