Mueller Reveals New Manafort Link to Organized Crime
Source: The Daily Beast
Trumps former campaign manager didnt just do business with accused gangsters. One of them transferred millions into a Manafort account, allegedly used for money laundering.

Buried deep in Robert Muellers indictment of Paul Manafort is a new link between Donald Trumps former campaign and Russian organized crime.
The indictment (PDF), unsealed on Monday, includes an extensive look into Paul Manaforts byzantine financial dealings. In particular, it details how he used a company called Lucicle Consultants Limited to wire millions of dollars into the United States.
The Cyprus-based Lucicle Consultants Limited, in turn, reportedly received millions of dollars from a businessman and Ukrainian parliamentarian named Ivan Fursin, who is closely linked to one of Russias most notorious criminals: Semion Mogilevich.
Mogilevich is frequently described as the most dangerous mobster in the world. Currently believed to be safe in Moscow, he is, according to the FBI, responsible for weapons trafficking, contract killings, and international prostitution. In 2009, he made the bureaus Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list.

(6,288 posts)to international crime was quickly called fake news & those reporting on it were stalked & harassed into silence.
Damn right this is truth. International human trafficking of young women, many underage, lied to, sex slavery, & some murdered.
This was the dark underbelly of Trump Models & the Story of his ties in NY, Miami, & across the world broke to the public about the time of Epstein's s trial in Fl.
Those who began reporting the depth of Trump Models ties to money laundering & human trafficking pulled back & held onto their info for the time being.
There is a Lot to this story.

(7,430 posts)who allegedly raped a young teen-aged girl when Trumpy was sleezing around with Epstein. There is also a suspicion that Trumpy and Epstein had another teen-aged girl murdered to keep her from whistleblowing.
We'll be popping champaign corks, however, when the US government, or the NY state AG, decides to forfeit Trumpy's assets as part of RICO proceedings. His kids will also be stripped of their assets. That will be the day... And it's coming.

(6,288 posts)The other person I read was harassed in typical RU troll fashion. Even went so far as to threaten to take her to court for defamation.
That was until the harasser was outed as a full blown RU troll. Complete with documentation & screen shots tracing her mulitple personas back to the original source of her foreign troll acct.
She went by the name Cassandra Fairbanks, & a couple alias names.
It was amazing how she had presented herself to be some voice of justice. Total bull shi*.
It was indeed a lesson for me as to how RU trolls do Putin's business & very telling as to what we were truly up against in 2016
Pretty messed up!
The threat of that defamation case was dropped as soon as she was outed.
This is how slick & aggressive RU trolls are. How far they go to disrupt & divide.
Which was & still is, exactly their purpose all along.

(5,730 posts)Epstein, Trump, the raped girl & others. She did several threads over a couple of years. Clearly, even though Epstein went to jail, there were others who bought people off. Plus, there was a lot more to Epstein than that with which he was charged .I told her once, she should submit an article to the New Yorker. I sort of got tbe feeling she needed to get away from it. I couldn't sleep well even after reading it. It was meticulously documented.
I have seen the trolls. Some are bots or EZ to figure out. Some are sophisticated, as you implied. They do intend to get people arguing.

(6,288 posts)Whether she was victim of the game they played, or Intel on the inside, there had to be times when she easily could have dropped the story & moved on with her life against fear or threats.
That she told it all in detailed documentation as did Chris Steele, is truly a heroic choice & speaks to her genuine need to defend good over evil.
For her to do this I would believe that what went on in the world of Epstein, Trump, Manafort et al, had to be of unfathomable horror.
I will try to find some of her work.
Thank you Alice

(5,399 posts)that human trafficking is the "dirt" that putin has on trump. Pee tapes and paraphilia stories may have brought a politician down 30-40 years ago, but you can see that stuff on TV these days. Human trafficking is a different story all together; it is explosive and I believe is the linchpin that will bring trump down.

(6,288 posts)3 money laundering m.o.'s is in the realm of prostitution/trafficking, drugs, & weapons, this area that's been so hushed doesn't surprise me.
In this case with Trump, all 3 are elevated to an extremely high level of a global crime syndicate.
Modeling agencies, opiods, Pharma & the drug distribution run amoke for years, and of course weapons sale unregulated on behalf of the NRA.
That's basically the 3 elemenst of criminal orgs from local gangs to the highest international level of the Trump Org.
It is not Mueller's first rodeo here, it is just the very top of the mob he's after.

(5,399 posts)He's reckless, careless, and a slave to his appetites, which have tended towards money, women, and power. If he could consolidate all of those into one enterprise, more's the better for him.

(11,517 posts)Hopefully before too long all the information will come out showing 45*s links to organized crime and we can get on with the business of impeaching him. It's just too damned much of a coincidence that so many of his associates are being linked to organize crime (and especially Russian organized crime) - he must certainly be linked as well.

(5,730 posts)Mo' Money, by rolling back sanctions. Putin must be pissed that DT can't deliver on that and other promises to him after he loaned him all that money and weighted the election for Donnie, his stooge.
We will see if Putin eventually unloads on DT, but maybe he understood that DT was trapped to help him, for a while. Putin doesn't strike me as the type to take excuses & forgive. He will patiently wait for his moment.
I wonder if this is why Manafort continued some activities after the microscope was already on him...he was trying to soothe Putin for all of them.

(5,730 posts)out, I remember. This crushes all of the events to a more direct timeframe. I did not remember how direct she had been. Also, I didn't know that his own ballot stuffing, etc. had been filmed by so many people, so many different ways and places, then shown on TV and the internet to his own people. I'm surprised he in still in power after that, in spite of his brutality toward his opposition.
Then, the US elected DT when he bragged with own lips about assaulting and abusing women, in a tape shown thousands of times. Of course, Bill C was right in what he told Yeltsin, that Putin had no heart, as we saw more recently in Syria.
Very interesting.

IOW it can also be rightly called 'money laundering' ... if you're doing it 'in support' of some other crime like tax evasion.
Even if the money was procured originally ... legally.

"It has long been suspected that Trump is involved in Russian money laundering, but I always assumed it was for the Russian Mafia and other unsavory types. But if what Quigley said is accurate, its quite possible Trump was laundering money for Putin and/or the Russian Government itself. Which of course, Putin could then use to blackmail Trump, because aiding in the violation of U.S. Sanctions is surely a serious crime.
Not to mention the suspicious fact that Trumps hand-picked Commerce Secretary, Wilbur Ross, was until recently the vice chairman of a bank...based in Cyprus. Hmmm wonder if he was involved..."
