Congressmen Dana Rohrabacher, Andy Harris say they will give away Paul Manafort donations if...

Source: Washington Examiner

Two Republicans in Congress say they will return donations from former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort, but only if he is convicted of charges announced Monday by special counsel Robert Mueller, who is investigating possible Trump election links to Russia.

Manafort and business partner Rick Gates were hit with a 12-count indictment alleging money laundering and other crimes related to their work for pro-Russia politicians in Ukraine before their association with Trump’s campaign.

Just two current members of the House of Representatives — Reps. Andy Harris, R-Md., and Dana Rohrabacher, R-Calif. — and one current senator — Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz. — received money from Manafort in the past decade, according to the OpenSecrets database of contribution filings.

KIEV, Ukraine — A month before Donald Trump clinched the Republican nomination, one of his closest allies in Congress — House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy — made a politically explosive assertion in a private conversation on Capitol Hill with his fellow GOP leaders: that Trump could be the beneficiary of payments from Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“There’s two people I think Putin pays: Rohrabacher and Trump,” McCarthy (R-Calif.) said, according to a recording of the June 15, 2016, exchange, which was listened to and verified by The Washington Post. Rep. Dana Rohrabacher is a Californian Republican known in Congress as a fervent defender of Putin and Russia.

House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.) immediately interjected, stopping the conversation from further exploring McCarthy’s assertion, and swore the Republicans present to secrecy.

Ryan instructed his Republican lieutenants to keep the conversation private, saying: “No leaks. . . . This is how we know we’re a real family here.”

Ryan sounds like a mob boss in that conversation.

<After being told that The Post would cite a recording of the exchange, Buck, speaking for the GOP House leadership, said: “This entire year-old exchange was clearly an attempt at humor.>

Both Ryan and McConnell were involved in and/or knew about the Russia/Trump/election rigging stuff
for a long time and they let it happen anyways. How did Mitch McConnnell know to block Merrick Garland
for the SCOTUS?

using "money" that over threw a democratically elected government in the Ukraine and propped up a Russian dictator supporter, and he also got money that was "laundered" in and at the Bank of Cyprus-----------isn't that just sweet.

Don't ask any questions, just give him (Harris) the money, that has blood on it, so that he can f*ck the 1st District residents of the Eastern shore, just like Manafort and Gates did in the Balkans, and now he sits in the House of Representatives, aiding and abetting a traitor and his team.

Your kinda late there Harris.................and then to say that you will give it (money / not donations) back if he (Manafort) is convicted----------still have no principles right Harris, have you looked at the criminal complaint, like buying over $850,000 dollars in suits.

I bet you just throw around and over $850,000 dollars in suits-----------------you really have no principles, but you will use money that had not paid any taxes, but your Ayn Rand asshole Eddie Munster, is going to take 1.5 trillion out health care for seniors like myself (500 billion out of Medicare), to fund a tax reform and to give (Pass Through's) to yourself and the hedge funds----FU.

I now the district has a supporter of Russia
