Fox says it won't run ad again urging Trump's impeachment

Source: Associated Press

November 6, 2017, 5:52 PM

NEW YORK -- Fox News Channel says it won't air any more ads from a wealthy Democratic donor advocating President Trump's impeachment due its viewers' strong negative reaction.

One negative reaction was from Trump himself, who tweeted that donor Tom Steyer was "wacky and totally unhinged."

Steyer, a billionaire hedge fund operator, calls on television viewers to sign a petition urging Trump's impeachment. His lawyer, Brad Deutsch, said Monday that 1.5 million people had signed the petition online.

"People in Congress and his own administration know that this president is a clear and present danger, who's mentally unstable and armed with nuclear weapons, and they do nothing," Steyer said in the ad, which has also aired on CNN and other stations.

If we get a new emoji that day, all bets are off. Maybe Hillary will suspiciously be on the same planet as Russia?

Misplaced apostrophe, I'll fix it.

its viewer's strong negative reaction.
In this instance there is only one viewer's reaction they care about.

The current Congress would not impeach Trump if he had 20 Million signatures. The House will not impeach and the Senate would never get the 2/3 majority required to convict. I wish he would take the millions he's spending on this pipe dream and support candidates for 2018 and 2020. He could also support the gerrymandering and voter suppression lawsuits out there.

For that amount of money, he could have bought enough GOP votes in the House and Senate.

I think (hope) that he has a longer game in mind. Look how Trump and gang got it in people's minds about Hillary and the e-mails or Libya, they kept repeating the same thing over and over again. People who just get their news in sound bites are very susceptible to this manipulation. He's smart enough to know he won't get this congress to impeach but if the drumbeat is constant to impeach it becomes less of a shock and more of a foregone conclusion in people's minds.

I do wish he would put his money into flipping California congressional seats. We have 14 GOP congressmen in CA and even republicans in CA hate Trump. We need to flip as many of those as possible and his money would go a long way to doing it.

Which slimes it's way down the pike. Particularly, if it's about a Clinton... Just living up to their motto, "We report what the Kremlin decides." I guess.

Let's see how Fox fairs with that CONTRACT breach. They took the money for the ad space. Last I checked, being a delicate little snowflake isn't a valid reason to breach a contract.
