Two months after storm, FEMA offers to airlift Hurricane Maria victims in Puerto Rico to US mainland

Nearly two months after Hurricane Maria pummeled Puerto Rico, approximately 3,000 people are still in shelters on the island. Now, FEMA is offering to airlift these Hurricane Maria victims from Puerto Rico to the United States to reach temporary housing.

Under this plan, Puerto Rican residents who were displaced by the hurricane and staying in shelters can choose to relocate to the U.S. mainland.

According to FEMA’s website, the Transitional Shelter Assistance (TSA) program "provides short-term lodging assistance for evacuees who are not able to return home for an extended or indeterminate period of time following a disaster."

In a statement to ABC News, a FEMA spokesperson said, "FEMA is working to establish host-state agreements with both Florida and New York to accept those identified survivors."

Wonder how many of those "transferred" to Florida and other states, willingly and/or not, will have serious problems being able to vote? I would think most aren't too interested in supporting ANY Republican.
If they can vote in Florida, how much will that affect the results?

Anyone following this?

Point 1.(Good) If they Air Lifted all of the Puerto Rican US citizens to say Florida. And they voted democratic in 2018 and 2020 they could easily swing Florida to a solid Blue State. Why would they support Trump's party after leaving them abandon.

Point 2. (Bad) If you read Naomi Klein's book The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism you will realize that is what the capitalist are drooling over. All that land that would be abandoned and available for pennies on the dollar. Look at what happen to New Orleans after Katrina. Old neighborhoods were forced out. And rebuilt to the benefit of the Disaster Capitalist.
