Philippine police used water cannons and batons on Trump protesters

The Philippine police reportedly blasted water cannons and wielded batons on protesters demonstrating outside of the U.S. embassy in Manila shortly ahead of President Trump's arrival at the diplomatic compound.

Police suited up in riot gear blocked the left-wing protesters who were carrying signs that read "Dump Trump" and "Down with US Imperialism," ABC News and Reuters reported Sunday.

"Trump is the CEO of the imperialist US Government," Alexis Danday, an 18-year-old student, told the news outlet after the authorities successfully got the crowd to disperse.

Trump met with Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte on Sunday during his first official visit to the country, one stop on his five-nation tour of Asia.

he was overwhelmingly elected by the people who knew his record.. they wanted a tough person to handle the drug crisis.. they got what they wanted...
