Romney, After ‘Exhaustion’ Report, Hits the Gym

Source: ABC

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — Following reports that he had cancelled a campaign event in Orlando due to exhaustion, Mitt Romney hit the gym this afternoon.

An aide to the candidate said that after staff meetings and speech prep, Romney spent 30 to 40 minutes at the hotel gym. Romney typically uses the elliptical machine, although it was not clear what equipment he used today.

A Florida newspaper had reported Monday morning that Romney was “too exhausted to make the trip” to Orlando, which was to be sandwiched in between two other campaign events in other parts of the state. His campaign said earlier that the newspaper report was wrong in regards to Romney being exhausted.

Were are most of the seniors in Florida located, in the two "other" places he stopped at or in Orlando?

I don't think the problem is with "his" health, but with the "health plan" he and Ryan want to give to seniors. I think that Romney and Ryan are both going to be getting hit on the "Ryan budget plan" that not only targets seniors medicare and SS but also gives huge tax breaks to the rich while cutting the programs for seniors.

Romney has alienated women, gays, Hispanics, Muslims, fire fighters, teachers, the poor, etc., and now he can add seniors to that list! President Obama must be one happy guy these days since Romney is doing a great job of making sure the president gets another 4 years!

from all the different reports and etch-a-sketches.

What happened is he was hearing all the comments about his unfitness to be president if he's exhausted at this stage. So now "He's exhausted" is expunged.

had to worry about exhaustion; campaigning is very exhausting work. Hope he isn't thinking Ryan will carry forth the campaign on his own.

Seriously. Can't stand him--I think he's a mess--but I gotta tell you that I personally would not want to be trying to keep up the pace of a national campaign. If he had to cxl an appearance and take some time to try and burn off some of the stress, I honestly can't fault him for it. At least he's working out rather than hiring a few hookers and a rolling wet bar--ya know?

Again, I stress, I loathe all that man stands for, but in this particular case I really can't feel too critical for a guy taking a few hours of down time during a high stress time.

YMMV.

This guy can't be for "effing" real! I keep expecting Chevy Chase or Bill Murray coming out and saying the whole Romney for President crap is an elaborate SNL skit.

- Accused of being out of touch? - Have your son film you doing laundry at the Super 8!
- Questioned about your time at Bain? - Retroactively retire three years earlier...and don't ever answer whether or not you agree with the company you founded and were listed as CEO of screwing over the Middle Class workers, just say; "I wasn't there at the time"!
- Business experience is what qualifies you for the job? - Insist people stop talking about your business experience!
- Accused of having no clue about the Middle Class and Poor? - Grab a "shopping-cart-thingy" and go buy some "hardware-thingies"!
- Afraid the dancing horse will be embarrassing? - Pretend you don't have a frickin' clue..."what horse?...where?"
- A story about lashing your dog to the roof of your car comes out? - Make sure you're filmed with your "pet-thingy"!
- Pass health-care reform with a mandate? - Rail against a health-care reform mandate!
- Wingnuts complain you're not "wingnutty" enough? - Pick a complete whackjob as your running mate!
- Wingnuttier running mates views considered toxic? - Hide wingnuttier running mate from the media!
- Report surfaces that you're exhausted? - Strategically hit the gym! (That wattery substance you feel is called sweat)!

I swear, you couldn't make this shit up!
