Sessions says judges' rulings blocking Trump policies are 'unconstitutional'

Washington (CNN) - US Attorney General Jeff Sessions said Saturday that increasingly frequent lower court rulings blocking controversial Trump administration policies are "unconstitutional."

"The increasing frequency of limitless injunctions is simply unsustainable, and the ever-more extreme nature of some of these injunctions is only making it more obvious just how unconstitutional they are," Sessions said, speaking to the Federalist Society.

He later added: "But we are hopeful that the Supreme Court will soon send a clear message to the lower courts that injunctions ought to be limited to the parties in the case." The injunctions Sessions was referring to include rulings that have blocked various controversial Trump policies, like the travel ban and future of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals or DACA.

His remarks echo similar comments he made last month at an annual gathering of state attorneys general in Washington. There, he called the growing number of injunctions as a "serious matter of coequal branches."

What does he think injunctions that block the enforcement of orders are about???

The orders are often though not always blocked because they are deemed unconstitutional. Who wants to enforce an unconstitutional order? And which branch of the government is responsible for determining the constitutionality of laws and orders?

Fortunately not the Department of Justice all by its little self.

Sessions is rather limited when it comes to his intellect. That's my personal opinion.

On an even more personal level, Sessions is what Southerners used to refer to as "peevish."

Keep breaking the law, and the courts will keep ruling against you.

Here's a novel concept, don't enact unconstitutional policies and the courts won't have to rule against you.

GWB said, “If this were a dictatorship it would be a heck of a lot easier...as long as I'm the dictator. Hehehe.”

Trump says, "This would be easier if it was a dictatorship, so it is. I'm going to act like I'm going to act like a dictator and bully, threaten, and punish anyone who says it isn't so. My BFFs are all going to be dictators. I'm going to have the biggest every military parade to prove just how powerful I am. And eventually I will fire Robert Mueller."

And the Republicans in Congress let him get away with it.

Sessions doesn't get to say what is and isn't constitutional. That isn't in his job description. His job is to fairly enforce the laws of the United States, protect his bosses' ass, and stomp his tiny foot when they don't get their way.

dufus with elf ears. ha ha.

.......Sessions added that he thought courts "should put an end to nationwide injunctions," criticizing activists for "paralyzing the federal government.
"There can be no question that courts should put an end to nationwide injunctions and keep activists on both sides of the aisle from paralyzing the functioning of our government," Sessions said.
"In order for our system to function, the Court must end government-by-litigation. I am hopeful they soon will, and that ... with your help we will restore the rule of law in this country."
