Howard Dean: Trump's Cabinet full of 'incompetent doofuses'

Former Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean on Monday said President Trump’s cabinet is filled mostly with “incompetent doofuses” after Education Secretary Betsy DeVos struggled to answer questions about school performance during an interview that aired Sunday.

After a Washington Post reporter observed that reporter Lesley Stahl “seemed to know more about the nation’s public schools” than DeVos, Dean responded, “That’s news?”

Dean, who ran for president in 2004, has been a frequent critic of the Trump administration.

DeVos appeared to struggle at times during her interview to answer basic questions about public schools' performance, particularly in her home state of Michigan. Public schools there have gotten worse, interviewer Lesley Stahl pointed out, despite the school-choice policies DeVos has championed.

. . .end in "-us". The "-i" becomes plural. As in "alumnus" to "alumni". Or "machina" becomes "machinae" in a female tone.

As the more dialectic forms took hold after the fall of the Empire and became italian, the "us" ending fell into disuse. But, the "-i" ending to pluralize stayed. So, the well known italian pastry goes from "canolo" to "canoli".

There are thousands of latin words that end in "-us"
