Tillerson: Ex-spy's poisoning 'clearly came from Russia'

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said Monday that the poisoning of an ex-Russian spy in Britain “clearly came from Russia” and “certainly will trigger a response."

Tillerson said in a statement that he doesn’t know if the Kremlin was aware of the poisoning, but that the nerve agent used in the attack could not have come from any other country.

He called the attack “a really egregious act” and said it was “almost beyond comprehension” that officials of any government would use the poison in a public location.

“From Ukraine to Syria — and now the [United Kingdom] — Russia continues to be an irresponsible force of instability in the world, acting with open disregard for the sovereignty of other states and the life of their citizens,” Tillerson said.

He talks out of both sides of his mouth. Maybe he just plays a better game than trump at saying one thing, and doing another.

7. i can kind of get him. he probably didn't have a problem with working to get better ties with Russia

even getting deals in place which could benefit him indirectly because of his previous business ties with russia.

but there is a limit to how far one could go with it. that doesn't mean he will support or cover for russia on things like this.

Poor Rex....he just wanted to complete his legacy as a super successful businessman- this was supposed to just be a business deal....

...Tillerson was summarily fired today. No face-to-face meet with Trump, no reason given. He was just fired.

This country - the world, actually - is in a whole lot of hurt. A Manchurian Candidate holds the reins of power in this country, protected by a compliant and treasonous Republican congress, and his master, Putin, is apparently blatantly using WMD neurotoxins to kill people on NATO soil. Our nation's reaction to the attack? Declaring solidarity with our greatest ally, the UK? Turning up the intensity of Russian sanctions? No. We did one thing, Trump fired our Secretary of State for speaking honestly about the attack.
