GOP campaign chief: Pennsylvania results a 'wake-up call'

Source: The Hill

BY SCOTT WONG - 03/14/18 10:08 AM EDT

House Republicans’ campaign chief Rep. Steve Stivers (R-Ohio) is calling the results of the Pennsylvania special election a "wake-up call" for GOP colleagues who are lagging far behind their Democratic opponents in fundraising.

"This is a wake-up call. If you're getting outraised, this is a wake-up call,” Stivers said Wednesday, according to a source in a closed-door meeting of House Republicans. “Prepare to bear down."

Stivers's stern warning came just hours after Democrats declared victory in a Pennsylvania special election in a district President Trump carried by nearly 20 points in 2016.

Stivers noted that Democrat Conor Lamb outspent Republican Rick Saccone "five-to-one" in the district leading up to Tuesday's special election, though GOP outside groups also poured millions of dollars into the race.

Yes, the candidate Lamb raised more money personally BUT, the story leaves out the IMPORTANT FACT that the RNC and outside groups spent over 10 million while the DNC and there group spent less than one million.

They just never responded to the clanging bells. Now they want us to think they are woke. But all they are really interested in doing is turning the hands of the clock backwards 75 to 100 years to the good old days of the Robber Barons of yesteryears and the current treasonous syndicates of Fascist Oligarchs and criminal money launderers. Hailing corrupt political practices.

To quote a line from Princess Bride.

Anyway, the answer for the Republicans to the wake-up call probably isn't to SPEND MORE!!! If they think that, then fine. The answer ought to be "get your head out of where the sun doesn't shine, wake up and get real !" Your positions are not supported by the vast majority of American voters, Trump has lied, cheated, and stolen to get into the office of the presidency, and now each day proves that he's totally incompetent and really needs to leave...... Obviously, the list goes on and on and on. But the bottom line is.....IT'S NOT ALL ABOUT THE MONEY !!

"This is a wake-up call. If you're getting out-raised, this is a wake-up call!" - Rep. Steve Stivers (R-Ohio)

Not Northam destroying Gillespie an off-year election in Virginia, not Jones beating Alabama's teenage girl molester (Hell! Allowing a child molester to even run - and then fully support!!!), not Conor Lamb beating Saccone who was running to fill the seat of a "pro-life" Republican who encouraged his mistress to get an abortion?

Did you also not notice the huge crowds that showed up at town halls over GOP health care plans? Not notice the crowds that showed up to protest your policy/treatment of immigrants and foreigners? Not the six - Count 'em 6! - indictments of your party's leaders and strap hangers leading to crashing poll numbers? It didn't capture your attention when the tiny-fisted howler monkey said, "...you also had people that were very fine people, on both sides" when describing the white nationalists, KKK, and white supremacists that assaulted and killed people in Charlottesville, VA?

And only now you are "awake"?

As the above mentioned tiny-fisted howler monkey would have said: "Sad."
