The power players behind Cambridge Analytica have set up a new company and the daughters of Donald Trump-supporting billionaire Robert Mercer have just joined as directors.
Rebekah and Jennifer Mercer joined Emerdata on March 16, but it is shrouded in mystery.
Alexander Nix, the suspended CEO of Cambridge Analytica, is also a director, as well as other executives from parent firm SCL Group.
Emerdata also lists Johnson Chun Shun Ko, a Chinese executive from Frontier Services Group, the military firm chaired by prominent Trump supporter Erik Prince.
Cambridge Analytica is under scrutiny for the role it played in the US election after The Observer revealed the firm had illegitimately hoovered up Facebook user data.
Rebekah and Jennifer Mercer, daughters of hedge fund tycoon Robert Mercer, have just joined the board of a mysterious new company set up by executives at scandal-hit political research firm Cambridge Analytica.
According to public filings at Britains Companies House, Emerdata was incorporated in August 2017 and the Mercers were appointed to its board on March 16 this year.

The only thing changing is the name, the stealing elections will continue with the same people doing the same thing as CA.

(23,097 posts)They can remove tons of potential Dem votes, they can hack the vote and add more repugs than there are people in the district (as was done in WI). They can remove a certain percentage of Dem votes for president as they did in MI and FL where the undervotes for president in Dem districts was astounding and unprecedented. They, with Russia did all of these last time and could do even lots more this time since they got away with it last time.

(31,109 posts)though so I usually try and underplay it.
Even many good liberals still cant believe votes were flipped or whatever on election day.
Myself I knew it the instant I saw the results, way more of us than them.
What I meant was without support to steal, we could stop the stealing.

LONDON (AP) Company filings show that Trump-affiliated data-mining firm Cambridge Analytica has a link to a Chinese security and logistics company run by Erik Prince, the former mercenary who founded private military company Blackwater.
British corporate records show that Alexander Nix, the suspended chief executive of Cambridge Analytica, is also director of a company called Emerdata Ltd. that was incorporated in August 2017.
Other Emerdata directors include people associated with Cambridge Analytica, along with Johnson Ko Chun Shun, who was appointed in January.
Ko is also deputy chairman of Hong Kong-based Frontier Services Group, whose chairman is Prince.
FSG has attracted attention because of concerns Prince plans to provide special forces veterans to assist Chinese companies investing in risky locations overseas.
Chinas biggest state-owned company, Citic, is a major FSG shareholder.

(741 posts)if your purpose is to destroy the government of the United States. I get that our government is not innocent, but I believe for a number of reasons, that it is a shining example for nations around the world to emulate.
I believe our Constitution and its tenets is one of the very few obstacles preventing a shadow, global oligarchy.
I view vastly disproportionate wealth distribution, the decimation of unions, the attacks on civil liberties, the defunding of education, the brain drain of public agencies, Citizens United and religious conflicts as evidence of a serious attempt to destroy our Constitution and thereby our global leadership.
Additionally, Brexit removed any hope of a strong European Union to replace our leadership in the world.
Of course I could be wrong, but I dont believe so. If it looks like a duck.....
