Trump's New National Security Advisor John Bolton Has Links to Cambridge Analytica

Source: Time

By RYAN TEAGUE BECKWITH 11:33 PM EDT

President Donald Trump’s pick for his new national security advisor has ties to Cambridge Analytica, the voter-profiling firm currently facing criticism for its use of improperly obtained Facebook data.

A super PAC run by former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton has paid Cambridge Analytica more than $1.1 million since 2014 for research, according to a Center for Public Integrity review of campaign finance records. The firm also worked for Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Trump in the 2016 elections.

Trump said Thursday that effective April 9 he would replace National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster with Bolton, a foreign policy hawk who makes regular appearances on Fox News.

Since it was started in 2014, the John Bolton Super PAC has spent millions on independent expenditures for Republican candidates such as Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton and against Democrats such as New Hampshire Sen. Maggie Hassan. A recent press release stated it hoped to increase that spending in 2018.

If any human being, by his potential for destructiveness, could trigger an alien invasion, it would probably be him.

The Walrus also has a zipper problem identical to Old Yeller's.

Birds of a feather and all of that jazz.

who isn't morally, ethically, or mentally (or any combination of those three) challenged. He's not acquainted with anyone who isn't a scum-bag, and includes everyone in his immediate family (save Barron, maybe )

How sad and sick is it that these asshats really are who he considers the "best people".

but then, is she on ANY list any more?

I haven't checked these names out, the poster's just an interested citizen, btw, just came up on searching Bolton/CA.

CNN has a graphic here showing about 18: https://www.cnn.com/2018/03/20/politics/cambridge-analytica-republican-ties/index.html

There are a lot more, no doubt. I was just reading about a GOP operative up in WI, Mark Block, who's connected with Bannon and CA.

Maybe Bannon suggested Bolton to replace McMaster?

I've read that Cheeto and Bannon still talk on the phone, and Bannon is one of the few people that Cheeto actually listens to. So this guy Bolton could have been suggested by Putin, or somebody else close to Cheeto. If Bolton is connected to CA then it sounds like Bannon might be the one.

I doubt trump is speaking to him. He's cut an obvious deal and every word he says to trump would be recorded. But trump is cray-cray so who knows.
