McCain book promises 'no-holds-barred' take on Trump

Source: The Hill

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) is set to offer a "no-holds-barred" assessment of the Trump administration in a new memoir.

The book's publisher, Simon and Schuster, said Monday that the title, "The Restless Wave," will begin with McCain's 2008 White House run against now-former President Barack Obama, and will reflect on his time in the Senate during Obama's tenure in office, according to AFP.

But he will also "share his experiences during the divisive 2016 election and his no-holds-barred opinions on the current developments coming out of Washington," the publisher said.

McCain and Trump have sparred publicly since early on in the 2016 presidential campaign.

Of not being a war hero because McCain happened to be a POW and tortured, still gets him riled up. All the while, Trump avoided service because he feigned Bone Spurs.

Nothing more needs to be said about your lack of judgement.

I don't care about anything McCain has to say.

Republicans are always on the wrong side of everything !!!!!!!

Put your votes where your mouth is or leave your cheap words at home.

We've seen it time and time again from this guy, all words, no votes.

McCain gave us Palin and that is all on him! For shame!

Besides, McCain talks big about Trump then gets right in line with the Republican establishment.

He has a reputation as a maverick yet his legacy shows otherwise.

He is responsible for Sarah Palin whose rise directly led to Trump.
Also voting with and for what Trump wants 99% of the time gives this clown zero authority to talk in this situation.

And no, I'm not going to caveat this with "I respect his bravery and sacrifice" because he's long since negated any of that with his words and actions in the time since then.

MILLIONS of $$$ from the NRA. I lost respect for him years ago. He called G.W. Bush "dumb as a stump" then hugged him when he showed up with a birthday cake. I keep seeing McCain wandering around the stage behind President Obama, looking like an Alzheimer's patient. He was asked to rein in Palin who was riling up the racists at the rallies, and he said "But then she will turn on ME" What a hero!! He let her continue.

the posters who are kicking McCain because of Palin. But on the other hand, just think about this...if it hadn't been for having Crazy Palin as a running mate, he may have had a better chance of becoming PRESIDENT McCain. I, for one, am damn glad he DID run with Palin. The choice of Palin, as opposed to someone less stomach-turning, turned a lot of potential McCain voters off.

IMO, McCain's (or more likely, his campaign handlers) choice of Palin was a very good thing for those of us who supported Obama.
