GOP Senate Hopefuls in House Nominate Trump For Nobel Peace Prize

Source: rollcall.com

Move comes ahead of key primary battles in Indiana, West Virginia
Posted May 2, 2018 2:46 PM

...................................
It’s a move that could curry favor with the president and his supporters just a week before pivotal primaries in states such as West Virginia and Indiana, two “Trump states” where GOP candidates are trying to align themselves with the president.

A total of 18 House members, all Republicans, signed the nomination letter, citing the president’s work to “end the Korean War, denuclearize the Korean peninsula, and bring peace to the region.”

..........................................

Other Senate hopefuls who co-signed Messer’s nomination letter were Reps. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee, Jim Renacci of Ohio, Evan Jenkins of West Virginia, and North Dakota’s Kevin Cramer.

Deciding to run for President was a pretty high-stakes gamble for a career criminal. Ultimately the stress he's brought upon himself, combined with a constant stream of cheeseburgers and fried chicken, will prove his undoing.

it at all. They hate the UN, unless the UN votes to authorize military action. They hate the IAEA, unless they can use it to report an alleged 'violation'. Etc.

Now they have to get one for der dRumpf.

The one and only reason they nominated 45 for the Nobel Peace prize is because Obama already has one.

does not qualify one as a rocket scientist. It’s called impact maintenance and it’s invariably a temporary fix that will have to be addressed by a professional, or replacement, later.

as well as when RUMP does something or tries to, totally unconstitutional. This will get their lazy behinds non-electable forever more, when in the future, any of those harping 'RUMP' will be well remembered. Gross...

The framers didn't want a king in office to begin w/ and RUMP is thinking more and more of this mentality (king)...

There are enough of us to stop anything so obviously unconstitutional...should ahhh! something happen...I do have some faith in some repug senators (not many) but they and our minority should be able to do something (as well as the courts)...

So this nomination complies with their rules. If that bunch of Norwegian professors thinks Trump should actually get that award, though, I'd be very, very surprised.

Below is a brief description of the process involved in selecting the Nobel Peace Prize Laureates.

September – Invitation letters are sent out. The Nobel Committee sends out invitation letters to individuals qualified to nominate – members of national assemblies, governments, and international courts of law; university chancellors, professors of social science, history, philosophy, law and theology; leaders of peace research institutes and institutes of foreign affairs; previous Nobel Peace Prize Laureates; board members of organizations that have received the Nobel Peace Prize; present and past members of the Norwegian Nobel Committee; and former advisers of the Norwegian Nobel Institute.

Congressmen are not eligible to nominate anyone. There are Qualified Nominators who are the only people who can nominate a candidate. Тяцмр would not even be considered. There is a process and the deadline was Jan.31, 2018.

This is straight up political nonsense to prop the idiot up in the face of the blue wave set to hit in November.
