Ex-Trump aide who cursed Senate Intel probe meets with Mueller team

Source: The Hill

Michael Caputo, a former communications adviser to the Trump campaign, met with special counsel Robert Mueller's team on Wednesday, a day after he decried the Senate Intelligence Committee probe into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

Caputo confirmed the meeting with Mueller's team, which is investigating possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, to New York magazine.

Caputo told the magazine that he expected the meeting to be similar to his interviews with lawmakers on the House and Senate Intelligence panels and to touch on time on the Trump campaign, his work in Russia and his relationships with GOP operative Roger Stone and former campaign chairman Paul Manafort.

[In a prepared statement to the Senate,
Capstone said] “What America needs is an investigation of the investigators," Caputo reportedly added. "I want to know who is paying for the spies' work and coordinating this attack on President Donald Trump? I want to know who Dan Jones is talking to across the investigations - from the FBI, to the Southern District of New York, to the [office of the special counsel], to the Department of Justice, to Congress."

Uh no. Mueller has access to huge amounts of info that no one in Congress has access to. Although there are many lawyers in Congress nowadays, Mueller's team are ALL lawyers with specific specialties and expertise.
