US Navy resurrects Second Fleet in Atlantic to counter Russia

Source: BBC

Chief of Naval Operations Adm John Richardson said the fleet, disbanded in 2011, would oversee forces on the US East Coast and North Atlantic.

He said the National Defense Strategy, published earlier this year, made it clear that the era of great power competition had returned.

The strategy makes countering Russia and China a priority.

The fleet, which was disbanded for cost-saving and structural reasons, will be based in its previous home - Norfolk, Virginia.

Absent a real world war, there is absolutely no reason to have such a grossly bloated military.

If Trump could figure out how to sail a carrier down the street during his "It's all about me" military parade, he'd do it.

I truly think he's got the idea that he'll build a new, bigger-than-any-before carrier and name it after himself.

concerning Russia. China is another story. These slugs in this country calling themselves leaders want to start a cold-hot war with China. Boost the economy here in ameriKKKa. Get rid of a couple billion people in a very short space of time. "Duck and cover" like the 50's. RW racist like bannon and gorka can feel relieved at all the people being slaughtered in a WWIII, especially Asians.

GONNA NEED A SECOND THIRD FOURTH, WHOOPS WE'RE ALL OUT!!!!!
