Devin Nunes says he will hold Attorney General Jeff Sessions in contempt of Congress over Russia investigation
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA) said on Sunday that Republican lawmakers will move this week to hold Attorney General Jeff Sessions in contempt of Congress.
The morning after Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani told Fox News that Sessions should end special counsel Robert Muellers Russia investigation, Nunes phoned in to Fox & Friends to blast the attorney general for abuse of FISA counterintelligence wiretaps and other matters.
According to Nunes, the Justice Department has refused to comply with a subpoena for information that was used to convince a secret court to approve a wiretaps on then-Trump campaign staffer Carter Page.
The only thing thats left that we can do is we have to move quickly to hold the attorney general of the United States in contempt and thats what Im going to press for this week, Nunes revealed. Weve asked for very important information, its still classified. Because of the way they conducted this information, most of this information is classified. But because this is so important, Im not going to take any excuse to say, Oh were harming national security.'

(430 posts)And here I thought the "R" in front of the state that identifies Nunes (and the other "Rs" in this party) stood for "Republican" party.
Silly me! I'm sure it means - Russian!
So from now on when referring to any "R" such as House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, add (Russian-CA).
Gee, that must mean - Paul Ryan (Russian-WI) and Mitch McConnell (Russian-KY) and Trump (Russian-Fascist) and etc., etc....
We need to start calling them what they are and use this anytime we address these traitors.

Then it will go to Justice, where Sessions will have to recuse himself and Rosenstein will bring the criminal Contempt charges to a grand jury.

Nunes will have a choice: prison laundry or making license plates.

(12,541 posts)my instincts say if someone is acting guilty, they probably are. Nunes has the characteristics of a guilty man, as in never answering a yes or no question with one word. Her uses qualifiers for almost everything.
