Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani was reportedly huddled with his client, President Donald Trump, at Trump National Golf Club in Virginia on Sunday afternoon after appearing on ABC for a widely-panned morning show appearance.
During an interview on ABCs This Week, Giuliani hinted that Trump may have paid off multiple women over alleged affairs, suggested that the president might invoke his Fifth Amendment rights instead of speaking to special counsel Robert Muellers Russia investigation, and insisted that Trump could ignore a subpoena from the special counsel. Giuliani also noted that he was only halfway up to speed on legal matters facing his client.

Later in the afternoon, the White House pool report suggested that Giuliani was meeting with Trump, but the White House refused to confirm the report.
A tipster [says] Trump is with his new personal attorney Rudy Giuliani. Pool sought confirmation nearly two hours ago from the White House, but has yet to receive it, pool reporter Steven Nelson wrote.

(6,974 posts)I'm starting to wonder 🤔
IF that rotten skunk's working against tRump? tRump's too stupid to know that Ghouliani's helping to further dig & bury him in an even deeper hole.
Yes, Ghouliani's well past his sell date. And yeah, he's a rotten horses ass who probably hasn't "practiced law" in ages.
But to perform as badly as he IS during these hideous television interviews, which are really muddying the waters even worse for Fatso-In-Chief ......
Yeah, there's something more than meets the eye going on here with Ghouliani.

(2,500 posts)knowing that anything he might say could incriminate his client, he would keep his mouth shut. Then again wise and Giuliani are like vinegar and oil.

(3,515 posts)Also, a lawyer would want to get Trump's answers or statements on some of the issues raised in the questions that Trump's attorneys released to the public and that have apparently been presented as questions of the Mueller investigation for Trump to answer.
Lawyers are known to ask questions to which they already know the answer. This is how they vet a witness. Giuliani claimed that the questions raised showed that Mueller did not have the answers to the questions. That is not entirely how it works. Mueller could well know the answers to some of the questions and not know the answers to others.
In any case, Trump is subject to the rule of law and the checks and balances deliberately written into our Constitution. No one is above the law. As Trump must answer to Congress if impeachment hearings are held, he must answer to the Article III and other courts when appropriate. That's my opinion on this.

(19,193 posts)Ghouliani's favorite subject to talk about is himself. Rudy loves to be embraced by the warm glow of the television camera lights as well. The most dangerous area in New York City is the area between a TV camera and Rudy Ghouliani.

His son, Andrew, is a fairly decent golfer and I think he played for Duke University. But he's a bit of a jackass, not unlike his father.
