China Contributes $500 Million to Trump-linked Project in Indonesia

Source: National Review

"The project will include a number of Trump-branded hotels, a golf course, and a residence. While the $500 million loan will not be directly allocated to any of the Trump-branded features, Beijing’s contribution of half the project’s total operating budget ensures the success of the broader theme-park venture.

The Trump properties are considered flagship elements of the theme park, according to MNC marketing materials, and internal documents obtained by Agency France-Presse show Trump’s sons have been directly involved in its planning.

Though negotiations began prior to Trump’s election and his pledge to cease engaging in new business dealings with foreign governments, the project raises questions about the extent to which the Trump organization is dependent on Beijing amid contentious trade negotiations with the U.S."

In the context of the recent Trump effort to relax sanctions on ZTE and save Chinese jobs (which makes little sense otherwise), this is an excellent example of why we have an emoluments clause.

We have to bring back jobs for CHINA? (Excuse me, GINA?)

His soulless base is okay with this, despite that he was supposed to bring back THEIR jobs, but I guess they're just too stupid/racist/blind/brainwashed, so I guess nothing surprises me about them.

But WTF, Democrats?? Learn to fight, goddammit!!

Funny, all Republicans had to worry about in the previous administration was that Obama was partially African American. Look how far we’ve come with a bunch of good old white boys back in charge. Their obsession with Obama pales in comparison with the total corruption and disregard for law, civility and the Constitution. Sorry to say it again and again - money and power at ALL cost.
