Manafort's Virginia trial delayed two weeks

Source: Politico

Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort's trial in a Virginia federal court on tax evasion and bank fraud charges filed by special counsel Robert Mueller will be delayed two weeks to now begin in late July, the judge in the case said Friday.

Alexandria-based U.S. District Court Judge T.S. Ellis III announced in an order that he is sliding the start date for Manafort's trial from July 10 to July 24.

The judge said the delay was due to a medical procedure for one of his family members. However, last week he ordered a two-week delay in a hearing on some key motions in the case. That move led to speculation that Manafort's trial would wind up being delayed.

that Mueller overstepped his authority on indicting him and that his motive was to get negative info on Trump.
Maybe this is what's also holding up the trial on the few motions that were mentioned?

Good news is that the DC Judge over Manafort's trail there refused the same motions.

He will find a way to extend anything reflecting negatively on republicans until after the election. Look at his history after being appointed by Reagan:

Whitewater judge who would not throw out the case due to lack of evidence; he allowed the case to go in any direction for limitless duration that would bring anything damaging to Clinton.

Blackwater judge who would not allow the 60+ individuals and families beaten, killed, electrocuted, etc., assert claims for their damages together. He said they needed show individually beyond a shadow of doubt, their losses from Blackwater. The evidence was so strong that Blackwater had to settle with the individuals and families out of court because Ellis dismissed the case.

Manafort case where he was screaming at Mueller that Mueller was after Trump not Manafort. Why should a federal judge become so emotional in court? Ellis demanded the full mission memo from Mueller, which Mueller then provided. Now that Ellis had the information on the memo, republicans were mysteriously no longer demanding to know its contents (because Ellis is close to them).

And that on its own will put Manafort into prison.
