Firstly, we must insist that the Industrial Revolution that provided jobs for those with only a high school or less education could find a job and career that would provide them with a livable wage, health benefits and in many cases a pension is a thing of the past. During the high days of the Industrial Revolution following WWII, for example, General Motors was the largest employer and in today's dollars the average worker was paid $30.00 an hour, had medical benefits and a pension. Today's biggest employer is Walmart and the average pay is $8.00 per hour, no medical benefits or pension.

What is our government doing to meet the demands, again absolutely nothing. The fact is that the majority of those in congress are so uninformed that are helpless to comprehend the manimity of the situation and it challenges. What the situation demands is a massive insurge of knowledgeable young people in government how can firstly comprehend the situation, this is fundmental, and that bold steps to ensure that we are competitive.
These brings us to another fundamental challenge. It is the challenge to liberal democracy that is surfacing throughout the Western nations. Authoratarianism is gaining hold throughout Europe. Demogogues, such as Trump, are repeating the same senerio that took place in Europe following WWI and making the same unsubstaniated promises. It is a new type of authoritarianism. An example of this is what is taking place in China. It is marriage between capitalism and a authoratarian democracy. The national govenment maintains stict control and the setting of goals. The local govenments are charged with meeting these criteria and are encouraged to be creative thus providing local control that thats into account local situtations. The citizens on a local level are totally involved in the process.
This description is only the most basic structure of what is taking place. As governments fail to address the rapid change that is taking place throughout the world people are desperate for a solution and that is when it becomes a dangerous situation and men like Trump can come to power. There should be no doubt in the people's mind that this is exactly what Trump and his cadre of oligarchs are striving to create. If they succeed, say goodbye to liberal democracy and its commitment to protection of minorities of every stripe. Anyone who dares to oppose will be crushed. In such a system they are disregarded as hindrance at best. Say so along to objective truth and say hello to alternative reality systems.
