Gingrich Says Bain Capital Looted Companies

http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/01/08/gingrich-says-bain-capital-looted-companies/

Newt Gingrich assailed Mitt Romney’s business background of buying and selling companies at the investment firm Bain Capital, saying Sunday afternoon that the work was comparable to “rich people figuring out clever legal ways to loot a company.”

Mr. Gingrich, who has spent weeks complaining about a barrage of attacks aimed at him, called the accusations against Mr. Romney a “legitimate part of politics,” so long as they were accurate. He said he did not take issue with a “super PAC” supporting his candidacy that unearthed a film documenting one of the failing companies that cast Mr. Romney in a poor light.

“To quote the governor, you have to have broad shoulders and you have to be able to take the heat to be in the kitchen,” Mr. Gingrich said with a smile, speaking to reporters at a news conference here. “Those were his direct words.”

The “super PAC” supporting Mr. Gingrich, Winning our Future, received a pledge for a fresh infusion of cash that strategists say will be used to run a television advertisement in South Carolina about leveraged buyouts Mr. Romney supervised at Bain Capital. The group is operated by former aides to Mr. Gingrich.

If "former" Gingrich staffers leave the campaign for more 'fertile' ground, where does it end?

This SCOTUS decision is a tremendous slap in the face of free and fair elections.

Or it takes one to know one. So many of these tried and true cliches' seem to be appropriate.

Gotta love it though. It is a treat watching super sleaze Gingrich try to out sleaze super sleaze Mitwit. Never thought I'd be rooting for the Grinch but hotdamn I love watchiong him make Romney squirm.

Oh, wow. This is such a gift from one of Mitt's fellow Republicans. Now, when Obama brings it up, he can point to Gingrich and say that both Democrats AND Republicans find this reprehensible.

Nothing gratifies me more than to see them turning on their own. Their symbol should be the piranha, not the elephant.

I could take down an elephant, however. You just have to find the right pressure points. With Republicans, their softest spot is always the truth.
