Leader of Army Plot to Assassinate Obama Apparently Attended the 2008 Republican Convention as a Page
Isaac Aguigui, the Army private and alleged ringleader of a plot to assassinate Barack Obama and "take over" Ft. Stewart in Georgia, apparently served as a page at the 2008 Republican National Convention in Minneapolis, Minn. That's his mug shot after he was arrested for the alleged murder of Pvt. Michael Roark on the left. At right is a 2008 Reuters photo with the caption: "Republican National Convention page Isaac Aguigui watches from the edge of the floor at the start of the first session of the 2008 Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota September 1, 2008."

Of course, there could be two Isaac Aguiguis who look startlingly alike. Aguigui, according to Georgia prosecutors, financed a plot to kill the president, take over Ft. Stewart and poison apple orchards in Washington state with a $500,000 insurance settlement he got last year after his wife's death. The groupits numbers are unknowncalled itself F.E.A.R., for Forever Enduring, Always Ready.
Aguigui is one of four soldiers charged in Roark's death, allegedly because he was a "loose end" who threatened to foil their plans. According to the AP, Aguigui and his compatriots bore "distinctive tattoos that resemble an anarchy symbol," but that's the extent of the reporting thus far on their political motives.

**FILE** U.S. ArmySgt. Anthony Peden (left), 25, and Pvt. Isaac Aguigui, 19, are led away in handcuffs Dec. 12, 2011, after appearing before a magistrate judge at the Long County Sheriff's Office in Ludowici, Ga.
He was 19 nearly 9 months ago. He could very well be 20 now.
And if he's 20 now, he was 16, old enough to be a page, at the RNC in 2008.

His friends killed a man along with his girl friend and he may have killed his own wife who was pregnant. Why these other guys are interested in associating with such a man, I don't know.
People reporting on the Koch meeting in CA when Greenpeace flew a ballon over their compound, said they were planning a revolution. So it's not all in the realm of public opinion.
I hate that we have to have a network of people seeking these people in the first place. Americans going along with this are pushing us into a police state, not saving us from it.

(53,661 posts)A bad feeling that his intended acts of terrorism, and his crew's willingness to commit two murders, possibly more, was in line with their desire to have a place in some interim government. Financed by who, one might ask.
But some may already suspect, with Nordquist saying they only want to replace Obama with someone who will sign the bills that are handed to match their agenda. It seems so 1930-ish. Like they're planing Business Coup Part 2.

(36,418 posts)I'd be curious when the payout occurred, if indeed it has. I saw a report that says he funded the militia last year with the payout. Also, did the wife's death occur before or after he enlisted?
Anyone know the timeline?

....
Aguigui funded the militia using $500,000 in insurance and benefit payments from the death of his pregnant wife a year ago. Aguigui was not charged in his wife's death, but prosecutor Isabel Pauley claims her death was "highly suspicious." ....

(48,910 posts)Many of the firearms were purchased at High Mountain Hunting, a gun store in Wenatchee, Aguiguis father, Ed Aguigui, confirmed today when contacted by Hatewatch. We dont talk about any of our customers purchases, an employee at the gun store replied when asked about that today.
Ed Aguigui told Hatewatch that he had no clue as to the location of the land in Washington State that reportedly was purchased by his son and members of his militia group. I served my country for 20 years and I honor that, take pride in that, Ed Aguigui said when asked about his sons alleged antigovernment activities. I dont know what my sons views are, and where they came from.
The only thing I can say right now is this case is moving from the military to the state courts in Georgia, Ed Aguigui said. I dont think it would be right to say much more at this point.
The suspects grandmother, Gloria Aguigui, of East Wenatchee, Wash., said her large family is from Guam. Annette Aguigui, the suspects mother, homeschooled Isaac and his five brothers and sister while their father spent a career as a U.S. Army combat engineer. When they were little kids, they werent even allowed to have guns, Gloria Aguigui told Hatewatch. Isaac never got into trouble, and was always helping out. I have no idea what happened.

..... Aguigui allegedly started an Anarchist group that branded itself with anarchy tattoos, openly recruited, and stock piled weapons, in an alleged plot to overthrow the government and kill Barack Obama.
Their plan ran into a snag though ... a messy execution in the woodsleading to the eventual indictment ...

(509 posts)What everyone must stop and think about is that this is four people out of 2.3 million service members. It is as generic as stating that blondes were planning to assassinate the President.
The military has been very, very good at tossing out extremists. Also, please note that the two dilwads pictured are being tried by local officials, not by courts-martial.
Also, their political beliefs are not mentioned, as the final graph in the OP states. After the ruckus with identifying Lochner from AZ and Holmes from CO as right wing was incorrect, let's wait see what exactly falls out.
