11 House Republicans introduce articles of impeachment against Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstei

House Republican members of the conservative Freedom Caucus introduced articles of impeachment against Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein on Wednesday -- the latest salvo in an ongoing back-and-forth between some in the GOP over the Justice Department's handling of the Russia probe.

The 11 lawmakers accuse the Department of Justice of "intentionally withholding embarrassing documents and information," and allege the agency hid investigative information from Congress, abused the Federal Intelligence Surveillance Act and failed to comply with subpoenas, according to a statement.

House Speaker Paul Ryan has not signed on to the measure nor has he publicly commented on the effort. It's unclear if there will be a vote on the articles and lawmakers are due to leave soon for a multi-day recess.

Last month, Rosenstein and Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, had a particularly heated exchange as the lawmaker and others grilled the deputy attorney general during a hearing about the FBI and Justice Department's handling of the Hillary Clinton email and Trump-Russia investigations.

Kinda tragic to see the submissive republicans slobbering on bended knees to the whims of republican misleader Dirty Donny* and his kremlin handlers - doing what they can to piss on the truth, and weaken the USA. Deplorable.

They represent exactly the opposite of freedom. A correct term would be "Fascist Caucus". They insult the term "Freedom" and stand without exception in contradiction to every article of the Constitution. They only freedom they enjoy is to abuse the First Amendment to spread misinformation and outright lies in support of their beloved Nazi Fuhrer, Herr Trump. There conduct, in my estimation, makes them enemies of the Republic and should be made to justify their attack on the bedrock principles upon which this nation was founded. We are under attack but those who are intent on transforming our government into a authoritarian dictatorship with unlimited powers. This is not a new development, but has been objective dating from the presidency of Reagan and the neo-cons who attempted to achieve this under the claim of that the executive branch has absolute control over all three branches of government which stands in contradiction to the separation of powers as laid out in the Constitution and amply verified by the Federalist papers.

While ~ 4 dozen repug congress critters won't even try to run for re-election, due to scandals or they just know how bad they're going to get blown out in the next election.

More repugs leaving than the low estimate number for the teabag repugs. And they can't even get the 40 from the low end estimate to sign on to their impeachment, can only get 11 of them.

Can't read the ABC link, but these 11 must be the cream of the crop, in terms of teabag nazi bircher repugs. The elite.
