"Troubling ineptitude" in security at U.S. nuclear bomb plant

Source: Reuters

Guards at a government plant for storing weapons-grade uranium failed to spot activists, including an 82-year-old nun, who cut through its fences until they walked up to an officer's car and surrendered, an official report said on Friday.

another example of privatization failure. On a related note, several charter schools (the republican answer to public schools) in my area have abruptly closed amid scandal and failing test scores just as the school year is set to begin forcing their students to scramble back into the public school system. Way to go Republicans, this push to privatize everything is really working out!
