(28,941 posts)NH is going to mess with the country's mind yet again. Hee.
Three things flatlanders never get. 1. These folks take their politics straight and seriously. 2. They really don't like being told what to do. Speak your mind and they'll judge. 3. They value their privacy. Ranting about what is going on in the bedroom and what the gov't should do about it does not make any points in Graniteland.

(58,786 posts)Obama got 20% of the total votes cast.
tabatha
(18,795 posts)There are 2 Dems, 3 Reps and 4 Ind.
Hence Obama got 2 Dems + 1 other.

(36,974 posts)of the votes cast in the Democratic primary for that town.
Since the Democratic and Republican primaries are separate.
So, apparently NO ONE voted 'uncommitted' in the Democratic primary

Dixville Notch, NH has a population of about 74 people. Only 9 voted. In the GOP primary its Huntsman 2, Romney 2, Gingrich 1, Paul 1.

Seems to me that since they knew the media will be reporting on their votes/town that more folks would have come out to vote!
tabatha
(18,795 posts)Can all 74 vote?
elleng
(130,865 posts)but since hotel, wherein voting takes place, recently sold, population has decreased; hence, 9 voting now.

(23,796 posts)Think Stephen Colbert with much less popular support and a slightly looser grip on reality.
Did you see him in the lesser known candidates forum on C-SPAN? They sat him in front of anti-abortion fanatic Randall Terry (who's running as a Democrat because that's the kind of fuckhead he is). Anyway, Vermin Supreme ended his closing remarks by sprinkling Terry with confetti to turn him gay.
Tx4obama
(36,974 posts)that video link is a compilation of some of his answers to the questions and towards the end of the video it shows him tossing the confetti

(1,416 posts)No one actually lives in Dixonville anymore. But then again the entire election process is a fake event with the candidates selected (anointed) via funding by the top 1%. The 99% only select between to corporate sell-out candidates that will do the same things, once in office.
It really isn't even an election, more like a beauty contest, Miss Congeniality. Who looks most Presidential? Who wears the best clothes, who looks most like us? Who has the best looking family? Who practices the best Americanized religion? Who pretends to care about us best. We really know none of them give a flying squat about us and will do everything possible to pick our pockets for their corporate sponsors.
And the majority of Americans know this, and no longer vote.
